It’s that time of year again: Amazon Prime Day! If you have Prime, you know exactly what I’m talking about. For those who don’t know, Amazon Prime Day is one of the biggest shopping events of the year and it lasts 2 days and it’s like Black Friday in the summer. The deals are unbeatable and since it’s Prime, the shipping is super fast. This is the perfect time to stock up on household essentials, try out new items and take advantage of the best deals.
Prime
If you’re new to Amazon, you can try out a prime membership for a week to see if you like it and the process is incredibly easy. For example, you put your card info in and start the membership trial. But, I’m telling you, this is something you won’t want to end because they have everything! Furthermore, one of my favorite parts of the membership is access to prime video, which is their streaming service of movies and tv shows. This sale is just like cyber Monday, since it’s all online and extremely low prices.
What to Shop:
Beauty
I would say this is the biggest category when it comes to restocks. If you’re running low on any loved items, this is a fantastic time to repurchase and grow some back stock in your closet for the year. I like to get ahead on early prime day deals for these items because they tend to get swept up quickly. There are also so many new beauty and hygiene items that I’ve been dying to try, so I try to hold off until I can get the lowest price, which would be during this sale.
Fashion
Take advantage of your Amazon Prime membership and grab the basics you need for your closet. Some of my favorite tees, socks and undergarments are all from Amazon Fashion. But they also have trendier items, too if you’d like to try them out. I always see really fun Amazon hauls on TikTok full of great dresses, accessories, shoes and even bathing suits. Those are some of the best pieces to get your hands on for the summer! There is something for everyone there!
Technology
Now this is a massive category. I personally think this is the best time to get huge gifts, and at a low price. We’re talking major discounts here on smart speakers, the echo dot, robot vacuums, fire tablets, apple watch series, smart home devices, a nintendo switch, a smart tv or a fire tv stick. Moreover, there are tons of fantastic home goods like kitchen appliances that you can get your hands on at the best prices, such as air fryers and instant pots. I can’t express enough how these amazing deals are so worth getting those big ticket items because the huge savings really are worth it. These items are things you will use several times a day, every single day.
Books
Finally, I am a big reader! Books can definitely add up and I do a majority of my book shopping on Amazon. I like to make my list of desirable reads and grab the best Amazon Prime day deals. Unfortunately, there aren’t many bookstores around these days, so I do appreciate the free two-day shipping options. A lot of my summer days are spent outside by the pool or at the beach, so books are my favorite source of entertainment. It’s also great to get a break from screen time!
