The Coral at Atlantis

This is a sponsored post. Thank you for supporting SITC.

It may be hard to believe, but considering how often we travel, very little is planned in advance. With that said, plenty of folks have asked about our travel plans for the summer, and I’ve been sort of stumped, with responses like, “Oh we will be in and out all summer.” Apart from Ryder’s three week upstate camp stint, I have nothing planned, predominantly as a result of Jason’s unpredictable work schedule. We have a couple of getaway ideas swirling around, but honestly, I just want a schedule free summer with tons of family and beach time.

The Coral at Atlantis

The carribbean is such an easy destination from NY, and Atlantis Bahamas has been on our list for quite sometime. Our first taste of Atlantis came from a quick day trip, during a cruise two years ago, and since we didn’t have an opportunity to enjoy it to its fullest, we need to figure out when to get back. Well now, I have an excuse! The Atlantis Paradise Island Resort will unveiling its newest renovation, The Coral at Atlantis this July, followed by a fully transformed Marina Village, in the fall. The new Marina Village will curate the best of the Bahamas – a celebration of the culture, taste and spirit of the country. Foodies, guests and locals can partake in regional experiences and interactions, savoring local flavors, shopping from island traders, during weekend markets and seasonal festivals featuring performances by Bahamian musicians.

Family Trip Planner is available exclusively to guests of The Coral for families can customize their vacation experience. Think reserving poolside cabanas, scheduling family swims at Dolphin Cay and making dining reservations. Swim-up bars for adults are nothing new, but how about a swim-up ice pop bar for kids?! The new pool at The Coral, designed by Jeffrey Beers, will serve refreshing frozen treats that are locally-made. The bar also features cocktails with local fruits, for all us thirsty adults!
Once you arrive, Babysitting Services can be booked through the Family Trip planner, so that parents can enjoy a date night knowing that their child is safe.

In the new lobby guests can indulge in dessert at the Sun & Ice Gelateria, and enjoy time together with original Atlantis games designed to engage families to play together. Guest rooms come with pint-sized amenities such as robes and slippers, and an in-room refrigerator with an assortment of snacks. The Coral’s Kids’ Concierge can assist families with information about the resort’s purposeful activities to connect them to local Bahamian culture and ecology, opportunities to explore the coral reefs and marine environments. With a relaxed atmosphere, the family-friendly area invites kids and parents to visit with the concierge team to review all kid and family experiences available on and off the resort.

New Dolphin Cay Experiences invite guests into the dolphins’ world to watch them play and interact in their own environment. They all focus on wellness, with the intention of teaching, caring, protecting and conserving the dolphins. New activities include Rise & Shine with Dolphins, Serenity Snorkel with Dolphins, Kayak with Dolphins and more. FYI- these activities are not exclusive to guests of The Coral.
