When the weather starts to warm up and we make our way into June I know Father’s Day is around the corner. The kids and I are always so excited to celebrate our main man. Jason is such a devoted father and husband, we are so lucky to have him in our lives and that is why we make Father’s Day extra special every year.
Father’s Day gift giving is always a little tricky for us because what do you get for the guy who has everything or buys what he needs on-the-go? Obviously homemade cards from the kids and a fun meal together are gifts enough but dads deserve some toys, too. Gadgets are aways a good choice in our family—but there are so many things to choose from I never know what to get. Jason always appreciates nifty gadgets that make his life easier and he always loves cool stuff.
If finding the perfect gift for Father’s Day is as daunting for you as it is for me, you might want to check out The Grommet. The company (started by two women) brings unique and innovative products made by local Makers and small businesses to the market. Ace (as in Ace Hardware) recently partnered with The Grommet to bring innovative products to their shops. Another great reason to support Ace—it’s a co-op, so all stores are independently owned and operated by small business owners.
The products on The Grommet are highly curated and pretty amazing. The Grommet team spends thousands of hours searching for unique finds—and helping the people behind them succeed. The Grommet reveals one new product every day and each one has been tried and tested by the their team. I found a few unique and perfect Father’s Day gifts for our “one-of-a-kind” dad.
I like items that enhance stuff we already own. Like this amazing ProShot Waterproof Action Camera iPhone case. We take so many pictures and videos with our iPhones because the cameras are so great now—but we can’t get those cool water action shots. With this case, Jason can get pretty amazing shots of the kids swimming in the pool this summer or at the beach without worrying about ruining his phone.
Speaking of photography, we travel all constantly and I thought it would be so great to get those amazing drone shots without schlepping all of the gear associated with it. This VIDIUS HD Video Drone By AERIX Drones is small and I mean small like fits-in-the-palm-of-your-hand small. We can take it everywhere! I mean Jason can take it everywhere—it is totally just for him. (wink!)
And who doesn’t love the gift of power? Well…battery power, that is. Having your iPhone and Apple Watch charged is essential, especially when you have kids (and especially if you are my husband because he is constantly on the phone for work). The Time Traveler 3-in-1 Portable Charger for Apple Watch & iPhone is pocket-sizes and can charge three devices at once!
The Grommet site organizes gifts by price, person (grandpa, brother, husband) and by interest or hobby. Follow @TheGrommet and visit thegrommet.com to discover more unique gifts for Father’s Day (or anytime, really). Wishing all the fabulous Dada’s a very Happy Father’s Day!

A new wood working power tool is on the list this year. Homemade cards are always the best
I have to check out this site for some of my Father’s Day gifts. It sounds like it’s pretty easy to navigate. Which makes for a great shopping experience.
I like the idea of the waterproof phone case, especially if he swims a lot or likes to go in the water. The drone looks cool too!
That drone looks like so much fun for a dad and the kids. I needed some ideas because my husband is so tough to shop for. A charger is also a great gift that he would use.
Ok, so my husband would totally love a drone! It goes along with his techy side. He normally goes for video games or new movies, but this he would love!
My hubby would love to have another drone LOL. The one he got he broke within a couple of days so I told him not again! Hopefully your hubby had better luck than mine.
These are great gadgets for dads! How much fun would it be to have a drone to play with! I need to do my shopping for Father’s Day as I am down to the wire!
Fathers Day is coming up so soon! I love your gift selections. We used to do an annual tournament of golf. We stopped that about five years ago. I need a new thing!!!
This is a fun gift idea. My friend gave her husband something similar a couple years ago (not as fancy) and he loved it.
These are all great gift ideas! My husband is into the tech stuff so any of these he would be really excited for. I always struggle with what to get him, so this helps me a ton. Thank you!
That little drone is something that I would love to have. I am going to “accidentally” share this to my wife.
I am sure dads would love this! I have mu hubby’s gift all set and ready!
These are some awesome gadget ideas , I have to admit I always find it hard to think of what to get my Dad – I’m sure he would love something like this.
These are great ideas! I am always looking for new options for Father’s Day!
Wow, what a great way to celebrate Father’s day! I am sure the whole family really enjoyed it. Happy Father’s day!
OMG, how fun are those? Such great ideas for Dad, I know my husband would absolutely love that drone.
These sound like great gifts for Dad!! What a great post!!
Oh, I think the mini-drone is such a fun Father’s Day gift! I love gifts where the father and kids can use together!
Wow, such a thoughtful list of Father’s Day gift ideas! I especially love the personalized whiskey glasses suggestion. It adds that extra touch of sentimentality to a practical gift.
Those make for a great gift!
