Valentine’s Day Breakfast in Bed Recipes

Who doesn’t love a romantic breakfast, especially a Valentine’s Day breakfast? There’s no better way to wake up than with a sweet gesture for the special occasion. Breakfast in bed is a nice thing to do for your loved one and you get bonus points for fresh flowers! It’s a special day where we go the extra mile to show how much we care for our partners and for those who have the love language of acts of service, this is a fantastic surprise and thoughtful gesture. Grab your bed tray and check out these delicious recipes for the ultimate Valentine’s breakfast-in-bed ideas.

Croissant French Toast

Firstly, there is no more perfect breakfast than a French toast. This one is amazing because the oven does a lot of the work! It’s simple enough to do a traditional French toast over the stove but often times the first round turns out a bit burnt, so this one is simple! And the whole family will love it.

Dill Frittatas

Secondly, this is a more interesting option. It’s a twist on classic frittatas but there is more flavor here. If you want to go the more adventurous route with flavors, try out this recipe and serve it with golden brown hash browns.

Cinnamon Rolls

Raise your hand if you are up for a bed surprise of cinnamon rolls! You can totally opt for the delicious pillsbury ones but if you have a little extra time on your hands and want to make a more hands on breakfast, this is a great idea. These also work for a dessert option if you are planning a romantic dinner.

Coffee Cake

Coffee cake is a fantastic breakfast option and goes well with–obviously, a cup of coffee. We love this recipe because you can also make these into individual sizes in muffin tins for more easy on the go options.

Ricotta Pancakes

Pancakes in bed are always a yes from me. But we wanted to find a recipe that had a little more substance and protein for that matter. Ricotta in pancakes is actually amazing and makes them way fluffier. They are like pillowy clouds of goodness.

Dutch Baby

This is in the pancake family but think of it as a giant pancake. While they are traditionally made in cast iron skillets, a baking sheet can do for these! It’s a light recipe and goes very well topped with fresh berries and cream.

Cheddar Scones

Scones are similar to coffee cake for us, as they are great on the ideas with a lot of flavor to start your day off with. This recipe is surprisingly simple but the flavors are fantastic. You can even substitute greek yogurt in for even more protein.

Maple Glazed Bacon

Bacon is a popular breakfast side dish and for the special day, this is a great idea! The maple flavor adds the perfect amount of sweetness to the salty bacon. I promise you will be wanting these every weekend once you make them!

The Perfect Omelette

For a more savory option, try an omelette! I used to be intimidated by these but now that I’ve made so many for my family, I feel confident in my omelette skills. This is a great recipe to follow and the instructions are spelled out really simply.

Strawberry Waffles

Finally, we need something that screams Valentine’s Day! If you have a heart-shaped waffle maker, this is the perfect time to use it! Take an easy waffle recipe and top those delicious bites with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, if you’d like!
