Our crazy schedules are slowly coming to a close as summertime is finally making its way here. Summer is probably my (and the kids) most favorite time of the year as we are rid of the everyday regimes and can just do as we please. Our family usually travels the most during the summer months, and have already planned some days trips, weekend trips, and even a trip to Nevis. As much as I love to travel, the packing process is usually an issue, as we tend to pack up half of our apartment. More so for Gemma, I always have to make sure I pack the essentials we need to make for an easy and smooth trip.

That said, when it comes to napping, Gemma doesn’t quite do well when she’s in a different setting. She will never nap in a stroller unless it’s dire, and prefers only a crib. I just discovered Bjorn’s new and improved Travel Crib Light. It opens and closes in a cinch, making it super easy for our family on-the-go.     We are taking our baby boy Charlie who will be for months old on our first family vacation to Nantucket, off the coast of Massachusetts. It’s where I spent college summers waitressing and nannying and the first trip my husband and I took as a couple! We rented a small cottage so we can even bring our crazy pooch Phoebe!       Sky Dawson is regrettably one of a haufndl of popular models (at that time) who’s path never crossed mine in any capacity. I’d have loved to have met him, but it was not to be. He was featured in the Al Parker film Turned On’, and though I met nearly every person in that film, the elusive Sky was not one of them. Damn!

      Be careful taknig medical advice from Yahoo Answers.Some of the answers to your last question were bizarre, especially the one about masturbation causing torsion of the testis.One testis larger than the other may be a result of mumps, but you should seek proper medical advice about this in your case.Sperm count tests involve examining a fresh semen sample. They are not expensive as tests go, but obviously require some privacy to produce. Talk to your doctor about this.

      Wow, I think you will be a great OB. It seems like you have a real love for children, fiimlaes, and people in general. Sad to say that those qualities are rare traits in todays world. I believe not just anyone should be in just any job because you could be in a job that you hate and end up making everyone who comes in contact with you at work miserable. You have the joy and care to be great at your job and effect those you will be working around not only by your knowledge , but by your love for what you do.

How rare!I noticed that the two folks behind me were each holding a single item. Well, no problem.       My wife and I have been very blessed in our lives. We have also lived thogruh very tight times ( I. E., blood donations.) We have always felt the love if others. Many times, we picked up the bill for another at a resturant. Other times we paid for another’s groceries. Another time we put together a baby shower for a lady we never met who left an abusive home. Instead of money, we gave a man in the rain a sleeping bag, a coat, and accessories along with a gift card for a meal at Denny’s. When my wife ad I ran into financial issues, we were blessed by people who remained anonymous with a $500 gift card twice. We always asked why. We had a very hard time accepting. Why us?       Great interview, Chanson, and nice to hear your chrfeeul voice. Liked the part about meat eating. Apparently some Mormons haven’t digested (no pun intended) that part of the WoW yet. Could be because the word “meat” also takes such a long time to digest? I’ve always thought this one of the great ironies of Mormonism, considering D&C 89. Bjorn picked it up immediately at the picnic he and his wife attended. I think the interview goes a long way to dispelling the notion of the angry anti-ex-Mormon. Really, what is there to be angry about when you discover true freedom to make your own life choices, including whether to continue being angry, or not? I choose the positive (yet don’t shirk from what I think is worthwhile criticism), and I think that far more people will listen to ex-Mormons, including Mormons, when they can present themselves as actually enjoying their choice to leave the fold, not worried about going to a mythical Hades, and even speaking positively but realistically of their former faith. All I can say after that interview is that I feel proud of you. Encore! We need a lot more of it. Where is your next appearance?

    We don’t really have any summer plans… it’s all about getting ready for the new house and the baby coming in August. So we got a full plate this summer already 🙂 But there will be lots of traveling to and from both sets of grandparents homes!

      On October 3, thirty high socohl students from Mount Si’s Key Club visited the homes of two elderly folks in North Bend. Armed with gloves, garden tools, and determination ..they set out to offer assistance to these homeowners where the labor had simply become too big an obstacle. The students split and stacked firewood, trimmed overgrown bushes and hedges, brought garden beds back to objects of beauty, raked leaves, and filled an enormous trailer with discarded and rotting lumber that was taken to the dump. The best part of this endeavor was the smiles and hugs given by the homeowners to these high socohl Key Clubbers. That so many showed up at their homes to Pay it Forward was overwhelming and one of the most heart-warming experiences I have seen. Way to go Mount Si Key Club!

      thank you colleen, i feel that you read my mind and like an angel put it out there for me to read. when i moved my yougenst son into univ of colorado boulder this past august, he said mom i love you, but it is time to take the training wheels off’ .. i too am proud , we teach our children to be independent , to tie their shoe, read a book, walk to school and then , well, then we need to breath, let go, and thank god for lovely messages from people like you who let us know we are not alone. see you in marrakech.       A psychiatrist is a phsiicyan who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders. I have a bachelor’s degree in the social services field. For several years, I have worked with children who have been diagnosed with mental disorders. It is upsetting to see children victimize at an early age and even more disturbing to see them as predators as early as 5 years of age, however knowing that I am doing my part to assist them in becoming functioning youths and adults is rewarding. The empathy, confidentiality and maturity of a medical assistant are definitely needed in this area. I enjoy establishing a rapport with these clients and helping them to find adequate coping skills to deal with their disorders, therefore I would like to work for a psychiatrist.I would not like to work for an emergency phsiicyan for several reasons. I will explain a few. Patients who come to the emergency center typically have serious injuries or trauma. I would not like to have my mind constantly focused on who is coming thru the door and how sever the prognosis is. Knowing myself, I know that would be my focus and I would not be very productive. Also, in the emergency room the staff has to be prepared for anything, I would prefer an area that focuses on a particular specialty. Most importantly, I do not wish to see excessive amounts of blood loss on a regular basis. Actually, not even a minimal amount of blood loss on a regular basis. Giving my opinion and thoughts about this specialty, I would not be an effective employee.

      Since there is so many fields of spiicaltees that I have a choice of, I still really can’t choose one. So I am going base on my personal experiences. My original goal back in high school and maybe even before that, was to work in a Neonatal ICU! I had a brother that passed before he had his first birthday from heart complications, and that year I spent a lot of time at hospitals with my parents. My goal the first couple of years was to work with babies just like him. That was until I had my own children, I would of still loved to have worked in that career field but the heart ache I would most likely endure when one of those babies did not make it home. I could not have handled!On to more positive experiences, I have worked with the elderly and Geriatrics interests me very much. Being surrounded with people that have lived a fulfilled life is so much more rewarding. Even though at times it is the ending stages of their lives, and it is sad when someone does pass. It’s less of a heartache to know that most of the time they are ready to move on. They are still very dependent on you and when you are able to help them with their needs that’s the most rewarding of all, plus you form a special relationship with the patients and their families.

A full recap of our stay at @miravalberkshires this past weekend! Gemma and I had best few days, mostly unplugged and bonding. We were both so impressed by the dining experiences each day from healthy breakfasts to farm to table dinners. I also had a chance to escape and enjoy the spa with a Dennis Gross facial which was beyond, but also a Sweet Slumber 80 minute massage that might have been the best massage I’ve ever had in my life!
