I absolutely love taking my family to farmers markets when the weather is warm! There’s nothing better than fresh food and supporting local farms and businesses. You can find everything there from garden fresh fruits and vegetables, to the most wonderful baked goods to beautiful flowers. Moreover, they’re also a great way to make connections with people and start your day! Henceforth, when you want to take a peaceful solo trip or take your family and friends, I’ve rounded up the perfect list of farmers markets in the East End for you to go to this summer!
Balsam Farm
Firstly, this cute farm stand has a market location in Montauk! What’s really great about this market, is that you can actually place your order online and go pick it up, if you don’t feel like browsing in person. They have a bakery, fresh produce, jars & preserves, beverages and ready to eat food available there. A fun food they offer is their own frozen pizzas that are perfect for weeknight quick dinners or to serve to friends in your backyard this summer!
Woodside Orchards
Secondly, this spot is in Aquebogue and they are open from 11:30-5:30 every day, except Wednesdays. You can pick apples from their orchard while socially distancing or check out their market for baked goods and beverages. They even sell doughnuts in bulk, which would be perfect to bring to a BBQ! They have cider tastings on location that don’t require a reservation. With some of the best cider on the east coast, this market is a must see!
Springs Farmers Market
Thirdly, springs is open from 9-1 every Saturday at Ashawagh Hall in East Hampton. They have just about everything at this farmers market! You can grab something unique like infused olive oil, or go for fresh produce. What’s pretty cool is that they have live music for everyone to enjoy while you shop around.
Goodale Farms
Furthermore, this North Fork farmers market is one of the best I’ve ever seen! They have a delicious assortment of prepared foods and will deliver all over Long Island and in the boroughs of NYC! A really unique thing about this establishment is that they have their own meal subscription box! It’s a farm fresh weekly delivery of all local produce, meats and dairy and you get to pick everything that goes in the box. This farm also has adorable animals on site! You need to check them out!
Babinski’s Farm Stand
Moreover, this farmers market can be found in the center of the Hamptons and is open Thursday-Sunday from 9am-5pm. They have amazing baked goods, incredibly fresh produce and local meat and seafood. They make their own quiche! This adorable spot has been family owned since 1881! This is truly a great farmers market to bring family and friends to.
8 Hands Farm
For instance, this super cute, rustic farm store can be found on the North Fork in Cutchogue. You can shop their farm fresh eggs, organic produce, prepared foods, yarn, wool bedding, soaps and more. They have an in-store butcher shop full of pasture raised, grass fed meats. You can also go there and eat at their cafe for breakfast or lunch, they have picnic tables outside and it’s great for a fun family meal.
Amber Waves Farm
This amazing farmers market is located in Amagansett and is open 7 days a week from 8am-5pm. You can even preorder breakfast and lunch from their cafe! This market is dedicated to sourcing locally in New York. They have some of the freshest produce and most amazing baked goods I have ever seen. The best part is that they are very family friendly!
Cooper’s Farm Stand
Discover this exciting spot in Mattituck! They specialize in a variety of produce and they have a greenhouse on site where you can shop for plants. If you are on the hunt for straw bails, they’ve got them! Bring your kids and check out the chickens, pigs, peacocks and ducks they have on the farm. They’re open 7 days a week from 8am to dusk!
Hanks Farm Stand
Located in Southampton, this is one of our absolute favorites! They have a variety of produce including tomatoes, strawberries and of course, their sweet corn. I don’t know many farmers markets with great sweet corn, so this is something that definitely makes them stand out. Something new they have this year is strawberry donuts and ice cream, so if that’s not enough to get you to run over there, I don’t know what is!
Harbes
Harbes barnyard adventures is open and they have season passes! I love this location because they have fun events such as a Fourth of July celebration and their sunflower festival! I highly recommend checking out the sunflower festival to see the most beautiful flowers. There are animals to see, cider donuts to enjoy and lots of family fun to be had!
Round Swamp Farm
With spots in East Hampton, Bridgehampton and Montauk, this is a great farmers market for everyone out east, no matter which part you are in. They have some of the freshest seafood I’ve ever seen at a farmers market and their prepared foods are mouthwatering, they’re made daily and all set to grab and go. With hours from 8-6 Tuesday-Saturday and 8-2 Sunday & Monday, how could you not find time to go?!
Sound Shore Farms & Market
This farmers market in Riverhead is the perfect spot for strawberry picking! It’s an amazing spot for a fun summer activity with your kids. They have all of the fresh staples when it comes to produce and the opportunity to pick a pumpkin from their patch in the fall. With all local distributors, this farmers market is one of the best on the North Fork.

This is another really great family friendly farmers market, your kids will love to pick apples here! There’s even a gorgeous spot right in front of the water that they have set up for weddings and a beautiful rustic barn for the reception portion. If you’re in the mood for apple doughnuts or looking for a wedding venue, you have to check this place out!

The Sag Harbor Farmers Market is located on the Sag Harbor waterfront and they are open from 9-1 every Saturday, rain or shine. This market has an amazing list of vendors! You can find anything there. They offer artisanal chocolate mousse, knits, honey, lotions, pet treats and so much more!
