Stunning Dresses to Wear on Mother’s Day

Spring has sprung! Bring on the pastels, the florals, the maxis, and the light layers. I’ve put away our heavy coats and dark colors, and I can feel my energy blooming as the season continues to change! Spring is a rejuvenating time and we can reflect this in our wardrobes. This season that represents new beginnings can also transpire to our fashion and wardrobe. I love playing with color, prints, and textures in spring. Mother’s Day is a couple weeks away and I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect dress for our Mother’s Day brunch. It’s a special occasion but I certainly can find several other reasons to wear this dress or special skirt sets after the holiday. Whether you’re doing a fancy brunch or looking for affordable dresses for Mother’s Day outfit ideas, I have found fantastic options! Spring Florals

Florals have to be my favorite pattern for clothes. Specifically, a maxi dress or midi dress. It works for various occasions and you can dress this pattern up or down. It doesn’t need to be a bold color, it can absolutely work with muted tones or pastels. You know I had to include LoveShackFancy! I find vintage florals to be so feminine and pretty! I love that there are so many different style options for this floral vintage pattern, so you can mix it up! There are pants options, dresses, skirts and even shoes in this fun pattern-way. If you aren’t a fan of dresses, try a two piece set or go for cute platform heels. Any outfit can be a mom outfit!

Tulle

Another fabric option I love for dressing up is tulle! And if it’s pink, that’s even better! The good news is this is a fabric that’s lightweight, so it can totally work for summertime and you can get two seasons out of it. These are fun for fancy dinners and I find I can get a cute sibling set of dresses for the girls to easily match me. For this style, I tend to stay away from a shorter dress and go for longer with spaghetti straps. You can never go wrong being a whole host with a puffy tulle dress!

Pastels

Finally, spring screams pastel to me and I think these tones are stunning for Mother’s Day. Again, they work for summer, so you get two seasons of wear out of these colors making it practical. Go for a smocked waist trend of day dresses and pair them with a denim jacket to dress them down for a more casual day. Or stick with these solid colors in a silk or satin fabric and you can dress them up. Pastels are always a great option if you are having a hard time deciding on something other than a little black dress.
