Spring break is around the corner and I can almost taste a beach vacation! At the top of our packing list is the dress code for beach days: a bathing suit. As a mom, I feel like I am particular about swimwear. Henceforth, it seems like bikini bottoms are getting smaller and smaller each year. There really are a ton of different options to choose from, it’s just a matter of finding them. Furthermore, I’ll start the beach bag hunt soon, but first things first: here are my favorite swimsuits with the right amount of coverage for all of your resort wear needs!
Coverage on the perfect swimsuit is a comfort thing. It will be different depending on the person, but for me, it’s the bottoms that need to provide full coverage. I like to read positive reviews on swimwear that I haven’t tried yet myself to get a better idea of sizing, quality, etc. Moreover, a snug fit is not really what we’re aiming for here. Specifically, we want to feel confident and comfortable. And don’t worry about the price tag because there are a ton of affordable swimsuits out there- and even if you have your eye on a certain piece, there could totally be great dupes out there! Adjustable straps are another great feature. I think it might be the best part because it feels like you can tailor it to your body.
Secondly, what kind of style do you go for? I switch it up all the time between one pieces, bikinis, tankinis and– well pretty much most of the styles! One shoulder swimsuits are really on trend, as well as cut outs. I think these are trends that won’t necessarily go out of style. Specifically, they can be classic and chic, so you can invest in them, in my opinion. Moreover, the one thing I will say to steer clear from is mismatching pieces. Henceforth, go for sets because it’s way easier to get ready for a beach or pool day that way, than trying to put a look together.
Finally, cover ups are so much fun to shop for! This category is actually pretty large and can include so many different options. For instance, jean shorts can count as a cover up and piece of clothing to wear around, so it does save some space in your suitcase. Moreover, wraps, kimonos and lightweight net dresses are some of my favorite options. There’s something so cute about a lightweight piece to throw over your suit. It reminds me of summer!
