Sesame Street Live holds special place in my heart, for all three of my children, because each of them attended a performance as their first show. At our first show, Ryder was about 2 years old, and all of my mommy group friends and I brought our kids. When Siella turned two, I remember the joy of taking her and her big brother, and now just before Gemma’s second birthday, we went again. At first, I thought Ryder would be too old for the show, but our babysitter cancelled so he tagged along. Much to my surprise, he still loved the show!
Sesame Street Live: Make New Friends performance tells a story that no matter where you’re from, or where you’ve been, everyone is special. Elmo, Grover, Abby Cadabby, and their Sesame Street friends welcome Chamki, Grover’s friend from India, to Sesame Street. Together, they explore the universal fun of friendship and celebrate cultural similarities, from singing and dancing, to sharing cookies
Gemma was completely mesmerized, and she didn’t move an inch during the most performance, but towards the end, they stood up and started dancing. They all didn’t want it to end! It was such a special treat for them to experience the show together, and I am excited that they will remember their first performance was Sesame Street Live.
