Setting a Whimsy Easter Tablescape

With Easter brunch approaching, I’m beginning to set my table for Easter Sunday. One thing about me, I will set my table for holidays ahead of time to enjoy it for longer. A whimsical Easter tablescape is something I pride myself in. I feel like I put my entire heart and soul into having a beautiful tablescape that includes place cards, a table runner, dinner plates and cute little napkin rings. Place settings and Easter eggs surround the table with a floral centerpiece in the very center of the table. Easter tablescape ideas can be difficult because you want to have items to reuse for the next year or in different ways for events other than an Easter gathering.

Creative ideas are flowing and you already know my color palette is full of crisp whites and pastels for Easter dinner. You can even go the neutral route and add natural elements with whimsical touches. If the base layer can work for different seasons, that’s always ideal. Add some cute little bunnies, a floral arrangement and pastel colors and you have yourself not only a beautiful table for the upcoming Easter holiday, but a happy spring setting for your family members to enjoy!

Here are my favorite items that I will be using for my Easter table decorations for the special event.

Start with the Basics

First and foremost, LoveShackFancy is my go-to store to shop for tablecloths. I am obsessed with all of them and think they add the perfect touch of whimsy to any simple Easter tablescape. This upcoming spring, I’m looking into beautiful ideas for my space that involve fresh flowers, so why not have a tablecloth that matches that? It goes along the pastel colorway, since it’s pink and it hits the vintage feel that I love. These tablecloths are the perfect way to dress up any space! The matching napkins are a great touch to add to any simple place settings. In my mind, the table runner or tablecloth starts the table and from there, we pile on the necessities for the meal.

Tableware

Next, I love to add in fun touches of whimsy or use the holiday as an excuse to get cute little bowls and plates. I like everything to match and suggest pastels because they add the perfect color to your table. Last year, we wen with white plates that had a floral neutral pottery design to our Easter table setting. They were a great way to use them year round while still feeling ideal for a spring dining table. Moreover, fun bowls or switching up the silverware to gold flatware can also elevate any table. Whether you’re focused on neutral colors or a bright lovely Easter tablescape, try switching it up to something you maybe wouldn’t normally go for.

Placemats

Finally, I think placemats pull a whole table together. It clearly marks each space at the table and honestly helps with the cleanup portion. Finding a setting to go with your design isn’t too difficult and this is where people can step outside their comfort zones. For instance, go for white salad plates and then add some color to the table with the place settings! It’s so much fun to swap them out for every holiday and I have a great time designing my tablescape with them.
