Self-Care Books for Mother’s Day

With Mother’s Day around the corner, we are beginning to think about great gifts for the special women in our lives. Books are always a great option and they usually ship quickly, especially with Amazon Prime. Overall, books are a great way to relax and escape the day’s reality. Not only can they be a source of comfort, but equally as a form of  self-care, which we don’t always get enough of.

Markedly, if you’re looking for a great read for yourself or the mom in your life, here’s some book categories and reading options we’ve found:

Self-Care

As I’ve mentioned earlier, self-care is something that gets overlooked in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Things get busy and it’s common to overlook basic self-care for ourselves, but this shouldn’t happen. It should be included in our daily routine because taking care of ourselves is not only “in style”, but it’s great for our emotional and mental health-even physical sometimes. One way we can do this is through books! Just the mere escape from reality itself is a great start, but books about meditation, daily quotes, affirmations, skincare, hair care- and so much more can really do a lot for our overall well being.

Meditation

We don’t stop to think about how to take the best care of ourselves these days and that’s so important! Meditation is something I don’t know that much about, but it seems to work for quite a few people, so as I’ve conducted research, I’ve decided these few books I’ve listed could be quite helpful. Henceforth, taking even five minutes out of your day to center yourself and have a primary focus or goal for the rest of the day sounds like a great idea to me.

For the Woman Who Does It All

Finally, it’s no secret that being a mom is seriously the hardest job in the world! While we are busy taking care of other people all day, we often neglect ourselves. Basically, here is your reminder that you are important and you deserve to be taken care of, yourself! Try out one of these reads yourself or gift them to someone who does a lot for others! Let me know what you think of them!

Happy Mother’s Day!

I’ve heard about essential oils for cleaning and wellness, but never beauty before, so I found this read to be quite interesting! Anything that’s more natural, I love to learn about!
I think incoroporating something new every day for your self care routine can be good! Something in the familiar route, yet a new part of it, for example, a new meditation or poem for each morning to start your day.
This is a fantastic idea! I love the thought of journaling and especially with your daughters, it can help you understand each other more than maybe you would just by having a conversation.
