Romantic Escape To St. Barths

Vacationing in St. Barths feels like stepping into a world where luxury and laid-back island life exist in perfect balance. From the moment you arrive, the energy is different—effortless, chic, and undeniably French. The island is small but packed with personality, making every day feel curated yet completely relaxed. This is definitely one of my most favorite places on earth! See these two posts when we took the kids here and here

Excited to share all the details on a trip to St. Barth’s that Jason and I took back in November. Mind you this was a much-needed getaway sans the kids, and was just the tropical reset we needed to get back on track mentally and spiritually. We were immediately greeted with amazing views of verdant green hills, turquoise water, and blue skies when our plane touched down.

Getting To St. Barths

My favorite part is getting there. The tiny plane ride into St. Barths is unforgettable, flying low over turquoise water before landing on one of the shortest runways in the world. It’s thrilling, scenic, and instantly sets the tone that you’ve arrived somewhere special.

Days are spent hopping between stunning beaches with crystal-clear water and daytime beach clubs that somehow manage to be both lively and serene. Lunch turns into long afternoons, rosé flows, music plays, and the water is always just steps away. When the sun goes down, the dining scene truly shines—world-class restaurants with incredible food, late dinners, and an atmosphere that invites you to linger.

Shopping is equally irresistible, with chic boutiques lining Gustavia, offering everything from effortless resort wear to French luxury staples. And when night falls, there’s dancing—intimate, stylish, and full of energy. With its strong French influence, impeccable taste, and unbeatable beauty, St. Barths is the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave.

Where To Stay

We stayed at the beautiful  Le Barthelemy Hotel & Spa, and it made the trip even more special for all of us. Le Barthelemy Hotel & Spa is situated on the northeastern tip of Grand Cul de Sac, almost directly on the water, with St. Barts’ hilly terrain in the background. The white sand beaches are just steps from the hotel, and every view is an unforgettable one. With so much drama, gray skies, and frigid weather in the city, we were happy to roll up the drive and walk through those inviting lobby doors.

Walking through the doors of Le Barthelemy is like crossing a threshold into pure luxury. Forgoing pretentious posh for elegant coziness, the resort welcomes you with a stylish, tropical atmosphere that’s a timeless blend of luxurious comfort and island hospitality in one gorgeous package. When we entered our room, I went to see the bathroom immediately. A hotel room is only as good as its bathroom, in my opinion. I was blown away by the modern, sleek style, with clean lines, warm tones, and a large, walk-in shower with glass walls and amazing water pressure. That’s important, you guys!

I can’t forget to mention that families and couples who want a bit more privacy can also take advantage of the gorgeous suites and villas the resort offers. These spaces may be on the property, but they transport you away from it all, combining the resort’s amenities and elegant style with the ultimate in privacy for family and friends or couples who want a romantic retreat just for them.

Of course, you’ll want to take full advantage of their on-site luxury spa, La Mer. It features a full range of treatments, including rejuvenating facials, massages for the face and body, a sound bath, beachside wellness exercises, pilates, Nordic baths, and more. I was absolutely amazed by the variety of services and their absolute quality. It’s the perfect spot to reconnect with your spirit while healing your body.

I came away from this trip knowing two things for certain. First, if you want to relax and rejuvenate while reconnecting with your partner, St. Bart’s is the place to do it. Second, if you’re heading to St. Bart’s, Le Barthelemy Hotel & Spa is the place to stay!
