We’re a family of decorators for all holidays! A fun way to kick off a new season is to decorate your living spaces for a special occasion. St. Patrick’s Day decorations are up next! They are full of vibrant colors, lots of luck and shamrock garlands. This is the perfect time to set cart reminders for yourself because it’s coming up quickly and there is only so much time to have St. Patrick’s Day decor set up. We found some great ideas to add a personal touch to the holiday and are so excited to share them with you. In spirit of Ireland, these are our favorite pieces for St. Patrick’s Day decorations.
Wall Decor
Firstly, the easiest way to start decorating is with wall decor. There are so many garland options out there that can be used in different rooms. This is a great option because these are really easy to store if you live in an apartment. They take up practically no space! And even better, you can go for a different design in each room if you wanted to. Another quick decor tip is to go for the front door. A wreath for every season and every holiday is something we love to do in our home out east. The one we found is an excellent option for the start of spring and just feels so welcoming and bright.
Take this one step further and try a new welcome mat, too! If you have a front yard, you can always opt for a garden flag or standing decor for your porch for St. Patrick’s Day options! We always say, the more space, the more decorations are welcome. With three kids in the city, we tend to decorate less at our apartment but when we are out east in our home, we love to go all out!
Dining Table
Secondly, we love a good table scape. For our home, we keep pieces on the table as decor and use them for all of our meals that season. A leaf clover looks great on any table but especially when paired with the right accessories. Plates, napkins with cute napkin rings, the perfect festive cups and fun candles are all things we tend to lean towards when it comes to starting the decor process for the holiday. While the living room is something that could be fun to swap in new pillow covers for, the table is where we find our best creative outlet.
Kitchen
Finally, the kitchen is another easy and fun swap for decorations to get into the holiday spirit. These items tend to be on the smaller side, so they store well if you need to put them away for other seasons. My kids love to help bake with me so I usually run first to the baking section to find holiday pieces. Cookie cutters, bowls, spatulas and baking utensils have some really fun shapes and colors to pick from. Moreover, we actually found a couple food items from Williams Sonoma to get into the holiday spirit! If you didn’t already know, they do sell pre-made bites so you can get these for your celebrations or just to try out with friends and family.
