How to Achieve a Ralph Lauren Christmas Look

There’s a recent trend going around that is a Ralph Lauren Christmas. I’ve been wanting to know how everyone feels about this, I personally love it! It’s basically holiday season inspiration from Ralph Lauren and the iconic parts of that brand. It can exist in the form of wrapping paper, on the Christmas tree decorations, gift bags and even on the dining table. We all know how much I love the color pink and how I typically like to incorporate it into the holidays. But this season, I might go Ralph Lauren style and stick to a more traditional holiday look and feel. Here is how to achieve a Ralph Lauren lookalike Christmas!

Colors

Firstly, we all think of typical merry Christmas colors. It’s the red and green but with Ralph Lauren there’s a navy involved as well sometimes. That deep forest green and a burgundy are so iconic for holidays. They look good with everything and feel so magical. We are thinking that maybe accents of gold could look good with these colors as well to bring some metallic into the space. But more than this, the plaid ribbons are the star of the show within the color scheme. It’s a bit on the preppier side but in the best way possible. Think typical Christmas shades but making them deeper and the addition of plaid overall here to achieve this.

Textures

Secondly, textures can do a lot for the space and for your gift wrapping. A velvet bow is the perfect finishing touch to any gift but we love adding them to the tree. Maybe opting for velvet ribbons vs a tree full of traditional ornaments could have a nice look. Add warm light to the tree and the space to make it feel homier and more comfortable as well. The entire look is about achieving comfort and embodying the magical feel of Christmas. For instance, if you have brighter overhead light, you might want to switch for warmer bulbs for the holiday season. Adding chunky plaid blankets to the couch and chairs and knit pillows are more great additions. Keep everything within that iconic Ralph Lauren color and pattern scheme so stay on track here as well. And there are plenty of affordable ways you can achieve this! We’ll link a few below just in time for you to set up for the holidays.

Finishing Touches

Finally, those finishing touches that we all think might not make a difference tend to make the world of one. It’s in the tree decor, items on side tables, gold accent mirrors and candles. We’ve seen a lot of decor with pinecones, velvet and brass to add to the space as well. Keep it warm and keep it the opposite of simple here! We typically say to keep things simple but this is not the time for that. It’s the holiday season and we all deserve to go all out. Especially if you are hosting, have fun with this trend! In our opinion, it’s timeless.
