P&G announces Thank You, Mom Campaign

This past Monday marked 100 days till the 2014 Olympic winter games held in Sochi, Russia this year. I am such a fan of the Olympics both winter and summer sports and can clearly remember watching when I was younger with my parents. This year, Procter and Gamble (P&G), a Worldwide Olympic Partner, kicked off their Thank You, Mom campaign, which recognizes that no athlete gets to the Olympics and Paralympic Winter Games alone, and celebrates the Moms who helped get them there. I had the opportunity to attend a press event to with these amazing athletes you see below with their moms, and watch the new Raising an Olympian film series just released. All of their stories will bring tears to your eyes, and being a mom only made them so much more closer to my heart.

P&G Kicks-Off The 2014 Sochi Olympic Winter Games 'Thank You, Mom' Campaign With A Screening Of Their 'Raising An Olympian' Films

Lindsey Vonn, Evan Lysacek, Julie Chu and Taylor Lipsett, supported by P&G brands such as Olay®, Crest® and Bounty® join the elite line-up. As part of the 2014 campaign, the Raising an Olympian film series showcases and celebrates the journey of these athletes and their moms to get to the Olympics. From first steps…to first failures…to first and continuing successes, the short films capture the unconditional love and daily life lessons Moms share with their children who dreamed of pursuing the Olympic motto: Faster…Higher…Stronger. After all the hard work of raising their athlete, some moms can’t afford to be there with their child at the Games, so as part of the 2014 Thank You, Mom campaign, P&G is proud to offer thanks to all 357 moms of US Olympians & Paralympians with a gift of a $1,000 VISA gift card to help them on their journey to Sochi.

Here is just one out of the four series to be released. For some reason this video had the most impact on me because I see me and Ryder.

GO TEAM USA!
