Living in NYC, we walk to school, we walk to the store, we walk to play dates, we walk to the train, we walk everywhere. With all that time outside, there is no escaping the cold during the winter.  Most of the time, we can handle it because the kids have become accustomed to the frigid temps, but when it dips into the teens or below, it can be unbearable. We have no choice but to embrace it, and sometimes we are graced with a snowfall, and its beauty makes all cold worth it.

Moisturizing Your Winter Skin

Before leaving the house in the winter, I line up the kids’ hats, scarves, gloves, jackets, snow pants and all the layer to go with. Getting them to wear hats and gloves can be a battle, and they usually come out of school with them stuffed in their backpacks. All this time outside on normal days tends to leave their skin super dry and scaly. Now add a couple of days on the slopes, and a couple of the girls’ swimming lessons, their young skin really takes a beating.

Moisturizing Your Winter Skin

We will always have cold weather in New York, so I have to plan ahead. Vaseline® brand has been a trusted brand when I need to soothe their skin from the elements. Vaseline® Intensive Care™ Essential Healing Lotion leaves our skin deeply moisturized and looking healthier. I see a difference from the moment I apply it, and the kids are happier when their skin feels smooth, and not scratchy.

  1. My skin is always SO so dry in the winter! We always try to keep lotion around the house–I don’t think I’ve ever tried that kind before. I think I’ll have to pick some up!

  3. I have been using Vaseline Intensive Care lotion for a few months now and I love it. My skin was so dry from the weather change. It has made such a difference.

  4. My skin gets so dry as soon as the weather starts to get a little colder. I will have to pick up some Vaseline® Intensive Care lotion to try. I am so itchy I can not stand it anymore.

The kids and I get such irritated, dry skin from the winter temperatures! Vaseline is such a great go-to brand that I know works!

  6. I have that exact same lotion. I love it too. I usually use it right after I take a shower. It’s great for the skin, especially this time of year.

  7. My husband’s skin gets attacked so bad by the cold wind of winter. He has tried many store lotions, but I don’t think we have seen this one. I am going to pick it up the next time I’m out.

  8. As soon as you started talking about winter weather and skin, I just knew that I was going to see Vaseline Intensive Care pop up. This stuff is amazing and the only product that we keep on handle to battle the cold weather months. Vaseline products are amazing. Now, about NYC, I have never been and would love to visit but I don’t know if I could walk all over when it is so cold outside… you are a braver soul than I!
