I was beyond thrilled and honored when Strut Moms: The Fashionable Mom Show co-founders Denise Albert and Melissa Musen Gerstein asked me to walk in their fashion show. I attended the show last year at Lincoln Center during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and remember leaving the show feeling so inspired afterwards. Strut Moms is a different take on NYFW as its fashionable moms and their kids walking the runway and for a cause. Each model and mom walks for a charity for their choice.
Cottonelle, a sponsor of the show asked if I would become an ambassador of their brand and walk for them as well. I walked for “Make A Wish Foundation”. It is a foundation that is close to my heart. Make A Wish Foundation actually granted a wish for a friend of mine when I was growing up and I will never forget that.
Getting runway ready includes meticulous grooming: hair, makeup, clothes, shoes and much more – but you’re not totally ready until you’re confident. That’s where the Cottonelle Care Routine comes in. Talking about bathroom habits can be embarrassing, that’s why Cottonelle is partnered with Cherry Healey to get people to talk about their bums. Cottonelle Flushable Cleansing Cloths are now available in a sleek, new dispenser – making it easier to have wipes within reach and for everyone to enjoy the clean and fresh feeling of the Cottonelle Care routine
I was so nervous to walk the runway, but have to say once it was over I had this sense of empowerment. It was a truly beyond incredible experience and I was so happy to be a part of it. I was so thankful to have my family and friends were in the audience there to support me!
