NYC: Things To Do This Month

Whether you live in NYC or are just visiting, everyone is always looking for something fun to do! In this city, the options truly are endless. New pop ups are always appearing and making new memories at places you’ve been and loved can be so fun, too. I’ve got the scoop on what to do this fall in NYC- the latest and greatest! Here are 10 things to do in NYC this month!

CAMP Stores

This family experience company has everything you need for some good family fun! They have integrated store and mobile experiences, as well as virtual family activities. You can choose from arts & crafts, nature, food, theatre, sports and so much more! The flagship has a whole cosmic-outer space immersive experience going on right now. They have everything from baby ages through adult, so there truly is something for every family to do! Take your family here and have some fun!

See A Blue Man Group Show

We all know and love the Blue Man Group and I just heard the best news– they’re back starting September 3rd! This is a great show to bring the whole family to, there’s so much music and laughter to be had. They are following all CDC guidelines and those 12+ will be required to show proof of vaccination at the venue. Tickets are flying off the shelves, so hurry and grab yours!

Times Square Wheel

There is a ferris wheel in Times Square! I can hardly contain my excitement, it’s like a little bit of fair fun in the middle of the city! It goes 110 feet up into the air and gives you the most amazing views of all the lights and billboards. Tickets are available online and in person- $15 for ages 2-10, $20 for 11+ and $35 for VIP tickets where you get to skip the lines. It’s open now through September 12th from 12pm-11:59pm.

SuperReal

You have to check out this immersive installation at 25 Broadway! Moment Factory has teamed up with Cipriani to create videos in every inch of the space that blur the lines between real and surreal with 360 surround sound. It’s open now through September 23rd every day except Monday’s and Tuesday’s and they are following CDC protocols! Tickets are between $27-$35 and you get a 45 minute experience.

Shakespeare in the Park

If you are a fan of theatre and Shakespeare, this is a fun activity for you! The Merry Wives is playing in Central Park! Tickets are free and they are following all CDC guidelines. The show is 110 minutes with no intermission and runs now through September 18th. Hurry, tickets are going fast!

Arcadia Earth

This is the first ever immersive reality journey through Earth! There’s huge multi-sensorial art installations of all of Earth- including underwater and interactive environments. Arcadia is a great place to take your children, as it is not only so fun, but it’s educational! Tickets must be purchased online and are between $27-$39 and they are open from 2pm-5pm on weekdays and 10am-2pm on weekends!

The Alice

Who here likes cocktails?? The Alice is a brand new theatrical, immersive cocktail experience right here in NYC! This is a 90 minute experience in the world of Wonderland, where you will create your own cocktails, solve riddles, get to eat the “Eat Me” cake, paint the roses red and so much more! Proof of vaccination is required and tickets go very quickly, so hurry and grab some with friends!

Seaport Fit

Workout on Pier 17! Trooper Fitness, Lyons Den Power Yoga, Pure Barre NYC and HIIT The Deck all have classes running now through the end of September. The classes are free, you just need to reserve your spot online! What’s better than free workout classes with a view and motivation from your friends?!

Go on a Brunch Cruise

Have you heard of brunch cruises? They’re the latest rage! Sight seeing mixed with mimosas and brunch, what could be better?! Cruises are 2.5 hours on both the Hudson and East Rivers, there’s a DJ and bottomless mimosas. They depart from Pier 16 in Chelsea and this is a great excuse to dress up with friends and spend a few hours on the water! The brunch cruises are every Sunday now through the end of September. You can also choose from different cruises they offer, such as dinner! Grab your tickets online!

Make Your Own Perfume

Olfactory NYC is officially one of the coolest places! You can make your own perfume from scratch there! They have 9 fragrances you start with as the base and add in whichever scents you’d like to customize it for you. This is a great idea to do with friends or go and create a perfume as a gift for someone! They let you do private events or virtual ones, as well!

The ferris wheel in Times Square looks incredible. Now I’m itching to take a trip to NYC to experience it myself. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I envy that you can do all these in your area.. Unfortunately, covid cases are still growing in my area so we are still not allowed to do much especially in public places.. But hopefully things will get back to normal and we can do the same here.. I miss going to theaters and concerts
