It’s no secret that the spring weather in New York has been everything BUT springlike. Just when I thought I was on the verge of a breakdown, Momtrends invited me to join their second annual influencer getaway and I couldn’t be more grateful to attend again! A little solo getaway in the sun for a whole 72 hours- yes please! It was just what the doctor ordered!
This year, the influencer destination was the Seadust Cancun Family Resort, located on the white sandy beaches of the Cancun hotel zone, with stunning views of the turquoise sea ocean. I’ve been to many beaches along the Caribbean in Mexico, and this one is definitely my favorite of them all.
Watch The Video:
Rooms:
I was fortunate enough to be offered an ocean view suite, complete with a hot tub on the balcony. It was an adults only room, just what this tired mama needed for a brisk kid free getaway. With a total of 505 completely renovated suites with some of the family rooms including bunk beds, capable of accommodating up to five guests. This was music to my ears, because in some of our recent travel, properties have mandated that we stay in two rooms for our large family.
Dining:
The Seadust Cancun Family Resort is stacked with twelve restaurants and eleven bars, including options from award-winning French cuisine to authentic Mexican and Caribbean dishes, the variety of culinary options is sure to please any palate; not to mention that the decor and menu was consistent with the theme of each! Having vacationed at many all inclusive resorts, I have formerly been plagued by lackluster service from the waitstaff, but that was the complete opposite here. The servers couldn’t be more accommodating. And there is 24-hour room service, for a late night snack or lazy morning breakfast in bed!
Pools & Beach:
When it comes to choosing between pool or the beach, I tend to be more of a beach person. I need waves, and blue waters, ideally with little or no seaweed, and the Seadust Cancun Family Resort had just that. The sea was a beautiful blue, and its waves were calm enough to enjoy a relaxing soak, without being tossed around by sudden breaks. If I was fed up with sand in my suit, I walked over to one of the three infinity pools. To cater to each traveler or groups, some pools are designated adult only and/or kid friendly.
For The Kids:
I was beyond impressed when I heard about all the things Seadust Cancun Family Resort offered for kiddies. Based on how the property is situated, you are off the beaten path, so if you are on a kid-free trip, children’s activities aren’t right in your face. The Treasure Island water park gives children the excitement they crave, with water slides, a pirate ship, water games, and much more. The children’s club is for guests aged 5 to 12 and baby club for 18 months to four years old and includes activities such as treasure hunts, water games, painting, cooking, sports, movies, and more. There’s even a teen room with ping-pong, darts, board games, and Xbox video games for youngsters to enjoy hours of unlimited fun, capped off with a night time dance party with music, lights, activities, and contests. At different areas amongst the ground, you will find zip lining, a rock climbing wall, and mini golf! My kids would flip over all this!
Isla Mujeres:
Day two, it was off to Isla Mujeres via catamaran! Of all the times I’ve traveled to Mexico, this is a first for me. Isla Mujeres is a Mexican island in the Caribbean Sea, 13 kilometers off the coast from Cancún, known for beaches like northern Playa Norte, resort hotels, and snorkeling and scuba diving on the surrounding coral reefs. At Punta Sur the southern tip of the island, you will find a lighthouse, the remains of a Mayan temple and a sanctuary for sea turtles. We spent the entire day exploring the entire island, shopping, enjoying a tradition Mexican lunch, and taking in the blue water all around us!
Spa:
For our final day in Mexico, we were treated to a massage and facial, which is the only way to close out a trip. Their spa offers romantic spa packages, ocean front massages, hydrotherapy treatments, a beauty salon, and so much more. I walked out of my session completely refreshed and renewed.
Our trip was filled with so many laughs, new friendships, great memories, and good fun! Cannot thank Momtrends and Seadust Cancun Family Resort enough for this incredible experience, and much needed time away! I came home relaxed after three kid free days, but I can totally see myself returning again for a family trip!

Mexico is one of my favorite travel destinations! I have even visited with my kids. Seadust would be an amazing place to stay. I plan to look into it.
What a wonderful location of this hotel. And the facilities are just awesome including your suite and the view as one is relaxing in the bath tub. Looks like you had a wonderful time making new friends.

Being a New Yorker myself, any weather in New York is great weather to me. However it is nice to be able to travel to a destination like Cancun.

i have never been there but its nice to know there are so many different activities to do. personally, i like being ‘active’ when going away from home rather than just staying in the room.
