Life Of The Party

Thank you Warner Bros. Pictures for the invite!

I think I tell everyone this, but my screen time as of late consists of mindless TV and movies. My brain is usually in overdrive so a serious film is just something I am not into these days. I appreciate funny mom movies that I can relate to, a flick that makes me laugh, and if I am actually seeing it in the theater, even better!

This Mother’s Day weekend, Melissa McCarthy is the Life of the Party. I managed to escape this crazy week to catch the screening that seriously had me in stitches the entire time!

The movie is not only funny, but also showcases a special Mother Daughter bond and relationship. I don’t want to give too much away because you need to go and see it for yourself! But let’s just say longtime dedicated housewife Deanna (McCarthy) turns regret after a divorce that she was not expecting and decides to head back to college, since she dropped out right before her senior year. The funny part, she lands in the same school as her daughter, who’s not entirely sold on the idea. But the increasingly outspoken Deanna—now Dee Rock—embraces freedom, fun and frat boys on her own terms, finding her true self in a senior year no one ever expected.

Funny movies are always a good watch! Life of the Party looks like it is not only going to give us laughs but it seems it helps women realize that we can do whatever we set our hearts into.
