With the Fourth of July less than a month away, we are looking for the perfect look to celebrate Independence Day. There are so many new arrivals in patriotic colors! We have been loving denim shorts with flag sweatshirts for a pool party and think it’s the perfect outfit for a backyard barbecue. The American flag is on so many pieces this year in a super cute way. We are looking forward to styling blue and red outfits to show off our patriotic spirit. The best way to have a great time at a party is to dress on theme. These are fashion pieces we are looking forward to wearing for the long weekend!
Red or Blue Ensemble
Firstly, red and blue outfits seem to be one of the easiest ways to dress for the holiday. The Fourth of July screams red and blue and these are totally things we all pretty much have in our closets already. If you aren’t looking to shop this year and are just looking for inspo, hopefully our post helps you put together the perfect look! Graphic tees and short sleeve shirts are pieces that are easy to grab for. This year, we are really into dresses and skirts and finding ways to style them casually for a classic look during summer celebrations. We’ve seen playful prints and blue dresses and honestly are having a difficult time deciding on just one look ourselves. With everything we’ve found online, we’re thinking of doing red and blue themed looks for the entire long weekend. No matter what kind of Fourth of July celebration you’ll be having this year, blue accessories and red accents are a great way to show off a standard holiday uniform.
Bathing Suits
Secondly, a lot of people go to pool parties or spend the day at the beach. While we are mostly wearing swimsuits for these activities, there are still fun ways to dress up for the holiday. Wear patriotic colored or patriotic swimwear and breathable materials for the hot summer day. You can always throw a dress over swimwear to wear the rest of the night too! You can wear these swimsuits all summer long, beyond the holiday because July clothing is really summer general clothing. Go for lightweight two piece sets or blue hues in swim and denim here to feel on-theme.
Subtle Patriotic Clothing
Finally, for those who don’t want to wear a flag or bold Fourth of July themed looks, go more subtle. A white tee and denim shorts is not only ideal for the summer heat, but it totally works for a barbecue. Other options are statement earrings that are maybe red or blue and a white dress. We love white dresses and skirts for summer and feel as though these make for the perfect Fourth of July dresses. Finding more practical options that work for the holiday while doubling as items for a capsule wardrobe are perfect for this category.
