Dear Mom

This is a sponsored post. Thank you for supporting SITC.

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and like most, that day is spent surrounded by family, usually at a fancy brunch place. Growing up, this spring Sunday meant a special day for my mom, but today as a mom of three, I really understand how special it is. When we spend the day together now, I try to make the day all about her, and in turn, she does the same for me. But the best part is kids. The cute art projects made in school that I cherish, flowers, and their version of breakfast in bed. Having these little people who you brought into the world all around you is the most amazing feeling ever.

From the moment I became a mom, my world was forever changed, and even better as I was blessed with each child. Not a day goes that I don’t learn something from them. It could be something about myself, or a new experience as a mom, there were times that pushed me to limits that I never knew was possible. We have our good times and bad times, ups and downs, but I know as long as they are happy and healthy I am doing ok at this thing called parenting. My world, this journey and mission in life as a mom is to raise good humans that love and care for one another. They have taught me, and reminded me time and time again that love is unconditional. And I truly blessed.

This Mother’s Day, I am partnering with Lands’ End #DearMom Campaign to celebrate motherhood! Lands’ End created this incredible, emotional video below, featuring some of my favorite bloggers, showcasing what it is like to be a mom.

And I definitely can’t wrap this up without saying something to my mom…

Dear Mom, I thank you for being such a wonderful example, and providing the tools and foundation I needed to become a mom and build my own family. Having three children of your own, you knows a thing or two (o.k. a lot) about motherhood. You’ve instilled important values, making it easy for me to make that huge adjustment to having kids. The love that my children have for you is unmeasurable, and a precious joy to witness. The world stops for their “Gee.” Whenever I mention your name, their faces light up, and they can’t wait to see you. We love you so much!

Every Mother’s Day, I love giving my mom something that I know she would never get for herself. It’s a symbol to thank her for being such an incredible mother and grandmother. This year, I have a few things swirling around in my head, but I probably need to remain tight lipped, since she reads my blog. So for now, I can at least say thank you Mom, and Happy Mother’s Day!

To celebrate Mother’s Day and the Lands’ End #DearMom campaign, check out these three chances for you to win!

Tell mom how much you love her on social media: From now until May 10, you can share  Mother’s Day message, special moments with mom, photos on Instagram or Twitter using #DearMom, #sweepstakes and #mylandsend for a daily chance to win a $100 Lands’ End gift card. Winners will be chosen at random and participants are encouraged to enter daily, because Mom can never hear enough how much she’s adored.

Travel with mom: A Lands’ End survey found 86 percent of mom respondents would like to spend more quality time with their children. As a result, Lands’ End is offering one lucky winner the chance to win a trip a four-day trip with Mom to Hilton Head Island! This “mom and me” trip includes a stay at The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa, luxurious treatments at the Westin Heavenly Spa, and three days of private poolside cabana access. To enter daily, fill out the form at https://www.landsend.com/dearmom

Mother’s Day gifts that give back: Give mom a gift that gives back to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). From now through May 14, 2017, add a select Mother’s Day or Pink Ribbon Embroidery to a Lands’ End item from totes to towels and the company will donate $4.50 of the $6.00 embroidery fee to BCRF to further support the organization’s mission to be the end of breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research.

In addition, I will be giving out two $100 Lands’ End gift cards, on my Instagram and Twitter accounts April 30 and May 6th! So stay tuned!

  1. This is really sweet. It’s always nice to show your mom some appreciation and Mother’s Day is a great reminder! A Mom & Me trip could be a lot of fun!

  2. These are some really sweet ideas. If you have a really great mother, I am sure she will appreciate any or all of them. My mother is no longer with us, so it will be a weird Mother’s Day for me. I am hoping to be the recipient of some of these suggestions on Mother’s Day.

  3. This post made me miss my mom. She’s one of my favorite people, she’s also my best friend. It’s nice to be able to show our moms how much we appreciate them.

  4. Our Family World

I have been looking around for a nice gift for my mom too. She’s my pillar of strength and the best grandmother too. My mom loves anything red, like a purse, a pair of comfy shoes for walking, etc. I want to give her something she has been wanting for a long time – A gift of travel. Thank you for your suggestion!

  5. Ha! You’re lucky your mom reads your blog. My daughter scans the words ‘my daughter’ on mine, but no one else in the fam. hardly ever pays a visit. 😉 Hurrah to the mamas, I have some ideas brewing for mine too.

  6. Mothers Day really should be celebrated everyday. I am walking amongst so many superhero women who do multiple jobs and they cannot be thanked enough!
