Celebrating Kinder Joy Egg

Gemma and I had a super special playdate this week, at a Kinder Joy Egg event. I knew this would be right up her alley, feeding into her sweet tooth!

Kinder Surprise Eggs have been around forever, yet they’ve been hard to come by here in the United States. Years ago, friends shared some from their trip overseas, and I remember just how much my children loved them. But you may not know there is another Kinder egg that has been around since 2001, and now it is coming to the US! The delicious taste of Kinder plus a toy!

The eggs are not only a delicious treat, but they have a toy surprise inside. The Kinder Joy is an egg shaped package, with two separately sealed halves. One half of the egg contains a treat made of two soft creamy layers- one sweet milk cream-flavored and the other cocoa-flavored. In the middle of the creamy layers are two round wafer bites that are filled with a sweet cocoa cream. There’s so much cream that it even includes a tiny spoon to scoop up the sweet yumminess. The other half of the egg contains a surprise toy. The toy comes in several pieces, along with directions so kids can assemble it themselves.

Kinder Joy has over 40 different toys including unique crayons, balls, racing cars, along with some other special licensed, or holiday themed toys. The toys are focused on play, learning, and skill development.

Just in time for the holidays, Kinder Joy eggs will begin hitting Walmart shelves on Black Friday and then your favorite grocery stores soon after! Gemma was happy to share a few extras with her siblings when we got home and hasn’t stopped talking about “moms work”. Happy Kindering!

Available nationwide in January.  However, you may see some in time for Christmas.
