Food is such a big part of our lives and I love putting together interesting and different meals for my family. It is so fun to get the kids involved with the prep and the cooking, but sitting down to enjoy our creations is what brings us closer together. BUT as with most working parents of multiple children, our crazy schedules meals can sometimes become an afterthought.
I have definitely rushed home and stared into my fridge like a deer in headlights only to quickly slap together some uninspired meal just so I can get food on the table. Or we all throw our hands up and order take out. Don’t get me wrong, with the restaurant options in this city, ordering out is amazing but taking a family of five out to eat multiple times a week is a luxury that most of us can’t afford—even just a latte a day can add up to thousands at the end of the year.
When it comes to food, a little planning ahead can save so much time, money and effort…BUT a little help from a professional can save the day…maybe even the whole week. Call in The Culinistas! As you may have seen on my blog and IG, I have been using Culinistas and I have to say, it feels like self-care. The food is delicious and healthy, and the kids love everything—plus, I can actually take a breath at the end of the day knowing my family is getting good food and I don’t have to slave away in the kitchen.
The Culinistas provide private chefs for weekly in-home meal prep and special occasions and everything is prepped, packed, and ready to go in your fridge for the entire week. The meal plans are super straight forward and they can cater to any dietary restrictions. It really takes a load off of busy parents who want their families to eat a diverse and inspiring menu but don’t have the time to do it all. Chefs come to your home and prep, cook, and package your meals for the week. Genius, I know.
Food is life and that’s why I am really excited to share that the Culinistas are launching their newest Postnatal Package, which is dedicated to helping new mothers feel supported and healthy during the fourth trimester. Before having kids, I never understood why people brought meals to new parents, especially in a city where you can get delivery 24-hours a day. Then I had kids and realized that those precious first weeks and months after having a baby are such a shock to the system, it is easy to forget to nourish your body with healthy foods. I still remember each and every one of the meals my friends delivered to me when I had my children!
Nutritious food is so important for new moms, especially if they are breastfeeding, to keep their strength up and help their bodies heal. Moms need all the support they can get and the Culinistas understand that, and to celebrate we are hosting a GIVEAWAY!!!
One lucky mom in the NYC area will win one postnatal culinary visit, a menu consultation to pick dishes tailored to their needs and desires, and a welcome kit with some special surprises. All you have to do is follow The Culinistas Instagram and SITC on Instagram and leave a comment below telling me you did! Contest starts today Thursday, Feb 28 and will run through Thursday, March 7 9pm EST!

I didn’t know food was in the self-care category. It makes me want to get my hands on The Culinistas.
This sounds like such a neat company. I love the idea of having meal ideas designed for new moms. What a great idea! All of those meals look really good, and also nutritious.
That sounds like an amazing way to get a home-cooked meal when you are super busy. I remember those days when my daughter was first home from the hospital, it was a struggle to say the least. I love this idea.
My aunt keeps trying to convince me to get a meal service. This looks like a really good one to try. The options look great.
Is this heaven? This sounds like heaven. I would absolutely love to pass on the stress of food prep for the busiest weeks or the special get together.
