Has everyone heard about this new trend? Or am I the only one late to the game here?! We rocked the coastal grandma trend all summer- which is pretty much all neutrals with a nautical feel. But for the fall, I’ve gotta say, I’m quite excited about this pop of color. What’s better than the color pink?! And getting to wear it in the fall is even better! Barbie is known for more than just her high heel and dream house, but as far as fashion trends go, pink is her statement. Barbiecore fashion is about to be everywhere and here’s everything you need to know about it!

What is Barbiecore?

As we all know, the Barbie movie is coming out soon and this whole trend pretty much stemmed from that trailer release. The movie stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, which is a fantastic cast! I think it is so fun that there’s a whole fashion trend drawing inspiration from a movie! Basically, this trend is rocking bright barbie pink. In any way you can! There’s no way to overdo it, more is more here. Think Elle Woods, but more! Bubblegum pink, super-feminine vibes is what we’re going for here.

Who is Sporting it

I think it’s easy to feel like this could be intimidating, especially for those of you who don’t wear a ton of pink- and bright pink at that. But this trend is very much live and well and we’ve already spotted a ton of celebs already wearing the Barbie vibe. Conan Gray, Hailey Bieber, Kim Kardashian, Florence Pugh, Megan Fox, Machine Gun Kelly, Khloé Kardashian, Kacey Musgraves and so many more are keeping up with the current trends and rocking the Barbiecore style. Neon pink and hot pink trends are so much fun and it feels like a little bit of summer coming into fall. It’s like welcoming your inner child into your adult life, but instead of being on a Barbie set, it’s your world!

How to Incorporate it Into Your Closet

If it’s easiest for you, start small. For instance try a Rebecca Minkoff Barbie style pink purse or try pink pants. An easy way to bring bright colors like all things Barbie is to add it in piece by piece. Eventually, you can work towards wearing something like a bubblegum pink top, pink blazer, pink purse and bright pink platform heels. You’ll be a real life Barbie doll!

How I’ll Be Wearing it This Season

You already know I’m going to get in on the pink action! This is a dream trend for me and any way I can add more pink into my looks is a win in my book! I know fall usually means browns, beiges and warm tones, but why not grab some bright pink and hold onto that last bit of summer? It adds some fun to every look and I already have an idea of how I’m going to be wearing this trend!

I’ll be bringing some maxi dresses and skirts into the season and a lot of those will be pink! Looking through my closet, of course I’ll be wearing my favorite pink bags and platform heels, as well as felt hats. With ton of fall accessories out there– try grabbing the pink! A pink blazer, jean jacket or aviator jacket can best complete a look and keep me warm for the cooling temperatures here in New York City.
