Top 10 Places to Stay in the Hamptons

We all know how hot the Hamptons are, especially in the summertime. Finding the perfect place for all of your vacationing needs is dependent on things like amenities, location and food. A charming boutique hotel that is a short drive from main street, beautiful beaches , state parks and shopping options would have to be in a prime location. The summer months get quite crowded out there and while it is the perfect location to soak up some sun in high season, you do need to plan accordingly. I’ve narrowed down my top 10 luxurious hotels and boutique hotels on the south fork of Long Island for all of your lodging options in one place for this popular destination.

The Reform Club

Firstly this Amagansett set of private cottages is your complete oasis for the final month of summer! They have both suites and cottages available to book, as well as a full house! Each room has their own iPad for access to their amazing concierge. The Reform Club has access to SUVs to get you where you need to go, they stock the rooms with gourmet groceries if requested and offer delivery from local restaurants. It’s five star service here for sure!

Gurney’s Montauk

One thing I love about Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater is that they are open year round, so this is a location you can visit and enjoy beyond the summertime. They have their own restaurants, a spa and even allow pets! The seafood is incredibly fresh, there truly is nothing like it! While this is more of a romantic, relaxing getaway location, you can totally bring your kids along! It’s an ideal place for both families and romantic getaway weekends. Gurney’s has a full-service spa and hotel restaurant as well as modern amenities–what more could you ask for?!

Baron’s Cove

Thirdly, Baron’s Cove has been around for over 65 years! It’s located in Sag Harbor and the restaurant as their main dining room as well as a full lounge area are my top things to be noted of! These amenities are fantastic and the hotel guests can enjoy the view because it sit right on the harbor. I think the amount of privacy here makes it one of the best boutique hotels in town.

Topping Rose House

One of the most gorgeous boutique hotels is Topping Rose House! They have so much to offer from amazing food to wellness options that offer total relaxation. The dining options are top tier here with Jean-Georges food, so if you’re a foodie, this is the place to stay! If anyone is looking for wedding venues, they have year round options for intimate gatherings, as well.

The Chequit

Moreover, if you’re on Shelter Island, I have found the one of the best places to stay. The rooms are beachy, bright and so clean with free wi-fi. There are no flat-screen tvs as these spacious rooms are there for the ultimate serenity. They have several dining options on site and the view of the harbor is a sight to see!

A Room at the Beach

This Bridgehampton American hotel is a 10 room hotel located in the heart of town. With luxurious amenities ranging from personal Nespresso makers to frette linens to spa tubs, you have to get A Room at the Beach this summer! Any place that has a rain shower is a win in my book! Something great to note is that this location is a 10 minute walk from the Jitney stop and a 15 minute walk from the train, so it’s incredibly convenient!

Shou Suji Ban House

Great wellness hotels are few to come by, but this is an honorable mention because it is beyond relaxing! They’re actually nominated for a World Spa Award, which says a lot about the services there. The spa section and the wellness section are separate and the dining options will have you craving them once you leave. Everything is healthy yet delicious and simple so you can leave there feeling your very best self. Save this for your next trip out east!

Marram

Coming in with another Montauk spot, the Marram is quite the sight to see! They offer seasonal and locally sourced options for dining but the outdoor options are where they shine. There is a pool and it’s beach front, so you can explore either water option or even explore the town on a bike. The Marram has surf instructors for surfing lessons, mindfulness sessions and a fire pit for when it gets chilly at night. If you’re looking for a fun, yet peaceful excursion, go to the Marram!

The Maidstone Hotel

Furthermore, this hotel is one of the very best on the list! With 19 rooms, a full bar and the option to bring your furry friend, book your next stay at The Maidstone Hotel! A few notable amenities are a wine cellar, private parking, dry cleaning, beach necessities, bikes available, office and meeting equipment, massive dining room and so much more. They have some of the largest rooms in town, as well so it’s spacious.

Stay Marquis

Finally, we’re finishing up this roundup with a home stay option! These are curated vacation homes available to rent per night. If you’re headed out east with a big group of people or just want extra space, I always think this is the best option! A private pool, kitchen and laundry available is totally worth it on a summer vacation. Check out these homes the next time you are booking your stay out east with a larger group!
