Leaving summer and entering fall, I have new skin and makeup goals. I want to feel fresh faced and have filled my makeup bag with all of my recent holy grail products. These are items that make for a great everyday makeup routine. From makeup brushes to the perfect formula of a concealer for dark circles and items for stray hairs, I have narrowed it all down to fit in a toiletry bag. You can always try out mini sizes of products to see how you like them but most of these I’ve been using for a long time and can vouch for. You’ll want that full size eventually for the fall season! These are my makeup bag essentials that I use on a daily basis this time of year.
Skin Type
Firstly, this is one of the most important categories that go into shopping for skin care or beauty items. You want to shop for essentials that work for your skin type and will provide a good face base for products to sit on. This is not just personal preference, but making sure we are targeting skin needs. For instance, if you have dry skin, hyaluronic acid is going to be a good product for you to have in your bag. While those with oily skin will want something with a matte finish. Investing in good quality products will make the world of a difference here.
Makeup
Secondly, I love makeup. I feel like it’s a great way to express yourself! My no makeup makeup look is essential to my morning routine because it gives me little coverage where I feel like I need it and overall makes me look more awake. The eye area is the most tender, especially with fine lines so I tend to go lighter on product. Tinted moisturizer, a little lighter concealer, blush and a natural lip color are my everyday staples. Any beauty editor will tell you less is more for the everyday lifestyle. Satin finish, a new mascara, setting powder and a fluffy brush for the perfect blush and you are on your way for the day!
The Extras
Finally, this is where we have the most fun! Try out new products this season, is the epitome of girlhood. For easier transportation for trips, I like to even use a multi-use product. You’d be surprised at how much space in your luggage and purse you make with these! Moreover, there are so many tinted creams that can be applied to the apples of the cheeks on top of base products and then taken across the bridge of the nose and onto the lips for an easy application. Full coverage or light coverage, there are plenty of products to try out here. We’re getting rid of dry lips and going the extra mile for a glowy and plump natural look.
