Vermont Ski Weekend at Mount Snow Resort

Vermont has some of the best skiing you’ll find anywhere in the country. I should know. My family and I have taken ski trips both out west and closer to our area in Vermont. Although the resorts in the Rockies might be a bit more famous, the skiing you’ll find in Vermont is just as amazing. So are the resorts! On our most recent ski getaway this winter season, we stayed and skied at Mount Snow Resort, and I definitely rank it as one of the best ski resorts you’ll find anywhere in the country.

Mount Snow

First, let’s talk about the mountain because if you’re staying at a ski resort, you want good skiing, right? Mount Snow Ski Resort has that in abundance. Between Main Mountain, North Face, Sunbrook, and Carinthia, the resort boasts a total acreage of 601 square miles. There’s truly something for all skill levels. The resort also offers 19 lifts, so it’s easy to get to the top of the mountains.

If you have access to this amazing resort whenever you like, I highly recommend the Epic Pass. This season-long pass gives you unlimited access to everything the resort has to offer. You’ll have access to Vail, Breck, Park City, Whistler, Blackcomb, and more. You’ll also enjoy limited access to Mount Snow’s partner resorts in North America, Europe, and Japan. Lodging

Now, let’s talk about lodging. Great skiing is a must on any ski trip, but so are great accommodations. Your lodgings can really make or break a trip if you ask me. I have been on trips where the location was amazing but the hotel was sub-par, and it absolutely killed the vibe. That was not the case at Mount Snow. along with its signature Grand Summit Resort Hotel, the resort also offers a variety of condo and townhome options throughout its confines. Just like their ski slopes, there’s something for everyone. We chose to stay at the Grand Summit Resort Hotel, and we couldn’t have been more pleased.

Amenities

Located at the foot of Mount Snow, this gorgeous slopeside hotel perfectly combines posh accommodation with cozy Vermont sensibilities to create an atmosphere that welcomes you like a warm hug and wows you with its beautifully appointed lobby, dinning areas, and of course, rooms. The hotel is filled with natural wood and stone, and all rooms feature all the comforts of home from televisions to Wi-Fi. You’ll even be able to take advantage of their fitness area.

Kids

If you’re traveling with young children, Mount Snow offers childcare that keeps the kids engaged and entertained while you and the older kids hit the slopes. Children 18 months to 4 years old will enjoy a day filled with entertaining, hands-on learning opportunities in individual playrooms filled with enriching, age-appropriate activities.

Spa

If you love to refresh yourself at a relaxing spa, you’ll find that at the resort, as well. Their on-site spa offers a variety of massages, facials, rejuvenating treatments, and body treatments. They offer everything you’d expect in a high-end spa and then some. From standard fair like the things I just listed to scalp treatments body polishing, and even 24k gold face masks, you’ll find everything you need and want to relax and revive yourself.

Mount Snow Resort is easily some of the best skiing and lodging you’ll find anywhere in the USA and it’s absolutely the tops in New England. On our stay, we did as much dining, exploring, and relaxing as we did skiing, and we could not have had more fun!
