Trick or Treating Baskets for the Spooky Season

My kids are getting older and phasing out of trick or treating, which is a little sad. But that doesn’t mean I can’t look around and help others find the perfect treat basket. I actually think these boo basket options are great for a Halloween basket to leave candy in. So even if you don’t have kids, but you have trick or treaters, you can use one of these as a candy bowl to hold Halloween treats. For those that have kiddies that will be trick or treating this Halloween season, you will love these bucket ideas. Let’s get into our favorite Halloween candy bag options for the spooky season.

Material

Firstly, a lot of people are picky about the material of the bucket or basket. I get it, because there are so many options and some just draw you in more. The biggest two I would say are plastic versus fabric. They are both amazing options and offer different styles and functions. I’d say if you were making Halloween gift baskets, I’d go for plastic because they are more cost effective and can be used as candy bowls after. Although, if you have young kids who are trick or treating, I would say the fabric option is the way to go because it’s soft and easier to carry.

Size

Secondly, this would mostly apply to age. If you have young kids, you obviously want a smaller basket. They can’t carry something large and most likely will only make it to so many houses anyway. While older kids need larger options. They can get to every house and then go to things like a Halloween party, so they need baskets that can hold candy and Halloween gifts. Go for what you think your kids will enjoy. These baskets are fairly priced overall so there’s no quality versus quantity here as it’s a more even playing ground. If you think it might only last a couple seasons but it’s cute, go for that! If you want more use out of the basket, go for an option with high-quality materials to ensure it will last for a few seasons. It’s a fun way to start shopping for the spooky holiday and an even better way to get your kids excited for Halloween night. The best part of Halloween is the candy, after all. So maybe go for that larger basket!

Personalization

Finally, it’s all about what you want out of the basket. I’ve seen a lot of super cute personalization options where you can put your kids name or favorite animal on the basket to be embroidered. One thing I don’t see a lot is people using that personalization option to do things that aren’t names. For instance, simply the words trick or treat would be so cute embroidered on a basket. And if you have a few kids, you can pass this down and it won’t matter because it doesn’t have one kid’s name on it. These are sometimes a preorder item so definitely pay attention to shipping times, but they are a fun option!
