The Best Salad in a Jar Recipes

Salads are a really easy meal idea that is so easy to prep for the week. A lot of people are on the go and need quick and healthy options, and there is nothing faster than these salads! The jars make them easy for anyone with busy lifestyles or people who want to meal prep and keep them stored in the fridge with minimal space. You can keep the salad dressing on the side, which is a great way to prevent it from making the lettuce soggy or getting stuck on the bottom of the jar. Healthy lunches don’t have to be difficult! Take any of your favorite salad recipes and assemble them in your favorite jar! Make sure there’s a nice balance between protein and leafy greens to keep you full, especially on busy days. Here are some jars I like and super easy recipes for fresh salads on the go!

Jars Great for Meal Prepping Salads

You can find jars anywhere these days, but quality is way better than quantity, if you ask me! Jars that are easy to wash, store and come in various sizes are essential. An easy way to purchase a high quality glass jar is through amazon or via sites such as Crate&Barrel or Williams Sonoma. Meal prep salads are made for jars! That’s one of the great things about glass jars, it’s that you can ultimately use them for anything.

Here are some jars I like:

Rainbow Salad

I love the idea of a rainbow salad because that means there’s enough of the veggies we need to be consuming in it! They say we should be eating a rainbow of veggies for every meal, which can be difficult, but this salad makes it simpler. Bell peppers add a necessary crunch and color to the salad ingredients, while chickpeas offer a necessary source of protein.

Any good salad has tons of fresh veggies and some source of protein. This is the perfect mason jar salad because you can totally keep the main ingredients or swap them out for different ingredients based on what you’re feeling.

You know how much I love a Greek salad! This is so exciting because I can meal prep it in cute little jars and bring it on the go! Homemade dressings like Greek ones make it that much more enjoyable and cut out the yucky ingredients usually in popular dressings we get from the store. It’s incredibly fresh and the salad greens make for great nutrients.
