It may not officially be fall yet, but it sure feels like it. We are in our first full week of school, and fall activities are very much in full swing. In terms of after school activities, Siella has the most on her plate this season, with gymnastics, dance, soccer, and sewing class. I personally think it’s a lot for her, but she was determined to do it all. My one condition going into this season was that she must keep up her school work. With that, I am more happy to support her in following her passions.
It seems that over the past few months, her style has evolved. She’s still very much a girly girl, but she’s introduced some sporty flare. She loves anything comfortable, and especially since she is forever doing cartwheels, or dancing around the house. According to her “you can’t do cartwheels with dresses on.” Skirts are ok, as long as she has spandex shorts underneath. Her outfit of choice involves a cool pair of leggings and a tee. She adds her own signature touches it each outfit too, like a sparkly bag or fun necklace. It’s been a neat experience watching her grow into her own.
Researching and shopping for school clothes, I discovered Athleta Girls, which couldn’t been more fitting for her. All of their leggings have fun details like pockets and mesh, and technical fabrics that allow comfortability and movement. It’s perfect for my little girl on the go, with styles that can be worn to school, or when out and about playing. They even have key pieces she can wear to dance and gymnastics. I even bought a few pairs of Athleta pants for myself. Siella was pretty stoked that she had pants just like mom!
Athlete’s Fall Collection features neutral tones to bright pops of color, with relaxed yet flattering fits. And I love their all feminine details like criss-cross straps, and mesh see-through fabric on their leggings. All of the styles can be dressed up or down, making my crazy schedule of meetings and playdates a bit more comfortable. I can’t get enough of these High Rise Serpent Chaturanga Tight, that I had to have in both colors. I’ve been living in them!
Last weekend, Siella and I wore our matching outfits around town, while running errands in preparation for the busy week ahead. We even squeezed in time for a mommy and me mani pedi. You can tell she was beaming ear to ear to be dressed like her mama. I’m pretty psyched to watch my new first grader rock it out this school year! So proud of her!

Siella is SO cute!! I love that her style is changing, and good for you for supporting her endeavors. 🙂 It’s fun to have some play outside of school. I hope she keeps up with it as well.
