Must See Broadway Shows In NYC

As a born and raised New Yorker I have always enjoyed a Broadway show. I love the thrill and excitement of theater. Whether its a musical, drama, or comedy, I’m always so happy to be an audience member of a live show. I think because I love going and have for years, my kids naturally do t0o. Though I’ve already seen some on this list and totally recommend them, there are so many shows previewing this year I can’t wait to get tickets too.

I’m so excited about this one! I seriously can’t wait to take the kids. Previews begin March 9th and show runs until September 2020 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.
This is currently the hot ticket in town. I havent been able to make it yet, but I definitely plan on it before show ends in November. I can only imagine how thrilling and entertaining this musical is.
This show is great! I took Siella a few months back and we absolutely loved it. The music and comedic acting are all so great! A true funny classic!
My mom treated us to this show as an Christmas gift to the kids and we had a blast. Our household is big on classic Disney favorites. The story of Aladdin helps you travel to another world.
I cant wait to grab tickets for this show. I grew up watching the movie and still remember all the iconic songs. I think this particular show would make a great datenight for Jason and I! West Side story runs until September.
Oldie but a goodie! There is good reason why this show continues to run with such success. With Alexandra Billings playing the newest Madame Morrible, if you haven’t seen the show the time is now!
Such a classic well written story/play. And who doesn’t love Ed Harris?! With so much talent this show is at the top of my list! Another great datenight option!
I went to this show with my sister and loved it! Its the ultimate show for a girls night out. Originally written by Tina Fey its a fun one for sure!
A great comedy for the whole family! I don’t know much about this story but I only hear really funny things. Publications have said it’s the funniest play they have ever seen. Variety has called it “Comedic Gold!”.
Oh Diana! Such timeless grace! Diana always had a certain mystery to her while always having so much warmth. Id love to make this show another sister date with my sister. Previews begin March 2nd.
THIS! This show is at the very top of my list. I can’t wait to see these two together on stage. And Neil Simon is such a classic playwright! Only runs from March 12th to July 12th to grab your tickets fast!
My kids are gonna love this one. Not only are all things Harry Potter big in our household, I hear the production and set design are truly impressive.
Tina Turner is such a queen, a true icon. I love that this story was written into a musical because her music transcends generations and I cant wait for my girls to fall in love with her music the way I did at such a young age!
What can I say about this play that hasn’t been said before? Hands down one of the best plays ever written. Hamilton should be seen by everyone!

  6. I always get so jealous when shows come out in New York before anywhere else. We do have Frozen coming and they’ve announced Means Girls is coming so I’ll definitely be picking up tickets for that. I hope Beetlejuice comes as I love anything Tim Burton x
