My days can sometimes feel like a whirlwind. I am on the go all the time, all around the city for work, for the kids—so I have to think about workout gear for the morning and work-appropriate gear for the rest of the day (with possible wardrobe changes for events). It is a lot to juggle. I love clothes and getting dressed up, don’t get me wrong, BUT when the weather is freezing, and I have deadlines looming, all I want to do is cloister myself in my apartment, dresses and heels are the last thing I want to think about.
To simplify things a bit I have been trying to schedule a weekly “work from home” day, so I can focus on work and home, without worrying about getting dressed up or outfit changes. AND on those precious days I am allll about self-care and comfort—so no jeans, no heels and nothing restricting. I like to keep things easy, but I also like to feel a little put-together for school pick-up and drop-off and for running errands.
I hate to use the term “athleisure” because it seems so played-out, but I have noticed that the whole athleisure category has been seriously elevated lately. The casual workout and jogger styles I have been noticing around town are chic and very wearable for every day. These leisure ladies look amazing.
I recently got my hands on a few Hurley pieces and I am loving the new casual Brianne look. The Hurley One and Only Fleece Joggers are everything. I am so toasty warm, and I look pretty cool. I like to pair them with the Hurley Always Chillin biker tank. It has deep armholes, so I can wear a cool bralette or sports bra underneath for yoga or spin class. The Hurley Winchester Full-Zip Fleece is super warm but still looks fitted and slim. It has a removable hood and stylish asymmetrical design.
