For something on a larger scale, NYC will also host free World Cup fan zones across the boroughs, including Brooklyn Bridge Park and the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, bringing the energy of the tournament to thousands of fans at once.
JAPAN Fes
Japan Fes returns to New York City this June as part of its citywide, season-long celebration, popping up in neighborhoods like the East Village, Upper West Side, Brooklyn, and even Times Square. Known as the largest Japanese food festival in the world, it features hundreds of rotating vendors serving everything from ramen and takoyaki to matcha desserts, alongside live performances and cultural experiences. Best of all, it’s completely free to attend, making it one of the most fun ways to spend a summer day in the city. It starts on the 6th and runs on weekends throughout the month.
Black Restaurant Week
June 15th-29th is the 10th anniversary of Black Restaurant Week in the Tri-State area. We love supporting local businesses and showing our support for minority owned brands as well. Here is a list of just a few of our favorite black owned restaurants in the city!
See a Show on Little Island
The Little Island is just a few years old and it’s one of those spots that is really good to get some steps in at with great views. They have an amphitheater there and will be having performances all summer to check out!
Art on The MET Rooftop
Now on view at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Raphael: Sublime Poetry is a must-see exhibition exploring the life and legacy of Raphael, one of the most influential artists of the Italian Renaissance. The Seaport District continues to impress. Rent your own mini lawn on The Greens rooftop and enjoy great views, drinks, and music. There’s no better way to kick off summer than with a day at Luna Park in Coney Island, now open 7 days a week! Tribeca Film Festival
Running from June 3rd-14th, the Tribeca Film Festival is one of New York’s biggest cultural events. With over one hundred feature films and more than forty short films, there is something for every film lover. Expect live music, panel discussions, and special guest appearances following many screenings.
Brooklyn Film Festival
Film fans can also check out the Brooklyn Film Festival, which runs through June ninth. Featuring over one hundred and fifty films, including international selections, the festival also offers virtual screenings for those who prefer to watch from home. It runs through June 7th.
Bryant Park Picnic Performances
Bring a blanket and enjoy live music and performances on the Bryant Park lawn. With events running through mid-September, this series features everything from opera and dance to emerging artists and concerts by Carnegie Hall performers.
Brookfield Place Movies
Set beneath the soaring palms of Brookfield Place, Movies Under the Palms transforms the Winter Garden into a tropical pop-up cinema for a limited-time, free film series. NYC Cycle Boats

Juneteenth Celebrations
Celebrate Juneteenth beginning on June thirteenth with events leading up to the nineteenth. The city hosts educational and cultural experiences, including the Juneteenth Festival, to honor this important day in American history.
Pride Month Events
June is Pride Month, and the city will be buzzing with events. The Pride March takes place on June 28th starting at 12PM, followed by Pride Fest, which begins earlier that day. Celebrate love and community with music, food, and performances.
Flatiron NoMad Pride Starts with Love
Flatiron NoMad Partnership is celebrating Pride Month with a vibrant lineup of programming throughout June, spotlighting the neighborhood’s dynamic community and local businesses. “PRIDE: Start with Love” will uplift LGBTQIA+ artists and entrepreneurs through public art installations, special promotions, and engaging giveaways. The festivities build all month long, culminating in the kickoff of the NYC Pride March in Flatiron NoMad on Saturday, June 28th.
