Clogs For Spring!

It doesn’t take much to persuade me to do a little shopping. When the weather starts to warm up and spring is in the air, all I want to do is switch out the winter duds for easy breezy spring styles—especially my shoes. I am so tired of heavy socks stuffed into winter boots. It is time to prepare for my seasonal Zappos haul!

Shoe shopping can be a little frustrating because I want to find neutral spring shoes to go with a number of dresses and looks—a pair that will take me from school functions, drop-off and pick-up, to work meetings and casual events. I am eager to wear sandals (even though the weather isn’t officially warm enough for open shoes), so my little pups can breathe, but I also don’t have time to nurse blisters or foot pain while I break in new shoes.

Luckily, there are a handful of brands that will look cool and also feel comfortable for all the running around I do. Dansko is one of my go-to brands for ultimate comfort, but also a very cool and stylish look. Clogs have always been in style, but they’ve made a big comeback—clogs were just in the NY Times Style Section and on every chic mama traipsing around lower Manhattan and Brooklyn.

The employee-owned Dansko brand has been around since the 90s and they continue to create reliable and sturdy footwear. Dansko clogs, the traditional looking ones, are popular among people who desire a comfortable shoe to take them through long hours on their feet. And who is on their feet more than a mom? I have purchased hard wood clogs from other brands before, but I have never felt the level of comfort that I do with Dansko. And I love the variety that Dansko offers, too.

I started wearing the Dansko Sam clog sandal and my feet are in heaven. The Dansko Sam clogs are part of the Sausalito collection and are made of leather with an adjustable strap. They also come in five different colors (yay, I know!) I chose the neutral because I wanted a lighter hue for spring. The Sam clogs are very stylish and they give me a bit of height, but without the pain of traditional heels. I recently wore them with a chic white dress and they pulled my whole boho-chic look together.

Zappos is my favorite resource for shoes and they have a huge assortment of Dansko shoes, so it might be time for you to do your big seasonal order and find the perfect pair. I think I might need anther color of the Sam clogs!
