Following up from my post earlier this week. In addition to teaching, learning, listening, protesting, signing petitions, making donations, and making calls to government officials—another way to make your voice heard and support a devastated community is to purchase from black-owned beauty and fashion brands. Elevating people and specifically women of color allows for a more just society where everyone has access to growth and opportunity. While we teach our children inclusivity, we need to lead by example! I plan to do my part in not only continuing to support small business owners, but small business owners of color. I have featured some amazing brands creating amazing products that deserve our attention and support!

These are all really cute items! And I will definitely be supporting black owned businesses. But I think right now we need to be careful not to boycott white owned businesses that had no part in the evil that we have seen this week. After 2-3 months of no business they are certainly hurting financially and could lose their whole livelihood. Our goal is a better world, not to make millions of other people suffer. 🙁
That Little Princess book looks adorable and I’d love to read it to my nephews and nieces. 🙂 I very much hope your country is able to move forward for the best and come out with a stronger, fairer, and safer nation for all.
Yes! I really hope so too, and I plan to do my part!

I love this post. We have to start supporting each other no matter what race. I watch a video about this by Jackie Aina talking about this and I think we have to support Black based businesses. Make them successful and if we can support them we can make a difference.
Absolutely! I definitely plan to be better within our family about supporting black owned businesses.
