The big game is nearly here and if you’ll be in New York City and feel like you want to get out of the house for some chicken wings and beer, we’ve got it all figured out! Super Bowl Sunday is on the 11th this year and while there are so many bars to check out for game day, only so many of them are a great spot for sports fans. All over town, football fans will be finding the perfect place to park their seats for the big screen. We’ve done some digging and pulled together the best sports bars for Super Bowl Weekend, so if you’re looking for the perfect spot, you’ve come to a good place!
Gym Sports Bar
Firstly, this is a gay sports bar, so you know the crowd will have a fun and lively atmosphere! They air a bunch of sports games, so this is an ideal spot for watch parties for your favorite team. Located in Chelsea, it’s a pretty good spot in town.
Stout
Good drinks, flat screens and delicious bites make for a good time for a viewing party! They have several spots around town, the most well known being in the Financial District and Bryant Park. I personally think you can’t go wrong with their dips and chicken wings, but they have plenty of options for food, making it a great choice to watch the end of the NFL season.
At the Wallace
This great Hamilton Heights spot has some of the most delicious hot dogs in town! The vibes are great and they have plenty of tv’s so you will be guaranteed to get a good view of the special events.
Greenwich Street Tavern
Located in obviously, Greenwich Village, this is a prime spot for a Super Bowl watch party! It’s a great bar atmosphere all the time, so this is a spot you’ll really enjoy for the game. And they have such great food options, so you won’t go hungry with all that drinking!
Wicked Monk
Hopping out of Manhattan into Brooklyn, the Wicked Monk has all the burgers and loaded tater tots you can dream of! While I wouldn’t call it a relaxed atmosphere, that’s exactly what you want for the game– a big party!
Hair of the Dog
If you’re a fan of going out on the LES, you’ll definitely know this spot! This neighborhood sports bar is so much fun and not only are they known for their happy hours, but their daily specials throughout the week. Keep this on your list for after the big game, too!
Ralph’s Sports Bar
While this is on Staten Island, I wanted to throw it in because it is so good! It’s a large space with tons of events and fantastic Super Bowl specials as well as A La Carte options. Bring on the flat screen tvs and let’s dive into some wings!
The Flying Cock
If you like to stay around Midtown, this is going to be the spot for you! Not only is the food really good with tons of options to choose from, but there is plenty of seating. That’s important for a long game!
Ray’s Bar
Another fantastic LES spot, this neighborhood bar is where it’s at! Pop in with friends, but arrive early because this place will fill up. The drinks are great and the atmosphere is even better!
Smithfield Hall
Essentially in NoMad, this place is known for being the home of football, so you know it’s really that good! Tv’s galore and the tables are all separated so you have enough space during the game. Great bites, hoppy drinks, what more could you ask for?
The Hairy Lemon
Finally, we have a sports bar to mention in Alphabet City! It’s a cool spot with pool tables and even a disco ball. I’d say this is a younger crowd, but nothing is wrong with that! If you’re in your 20’s bring your friends and watch the game.. or halftime show we won’t tell which you’re there for!
