We’ve finally caved! Butter yellow is all the rage this season and we think it’s here to stay. We saw a bit of it last year in some yellow pieces but it became one of the top picks all around in the spring. Yellow nails in a buttery shade led the charge for the butter-yellow trend. We cannot seem to get enough of the adorable and dainty pieces in this shade and while it is more of a pastel it actually can be seen as a neutral option in your wardrobe. Yellow feels almost like a cream to us and that is how we are deciding to nail trend options with it this summer into the fall season.
The Color of the Summer
Firstly, while the Pantone color of the year used to dominate the trends and what we were all incorporating color wise into fashion, it’s a bit different this year. The Pantone color is actually a mocha mousse for 2025 and maybe that will come into play more for the upcoming fall and winter. For now, this pale yellow is absolutely dominating everything and we’re not mad at it! There’s something so feminine about it and fun. It’s a creamy yellow that is totally wearable in so many different ways. Between clothes, shoes, accessories and even nail colors, we’re obsessed with the monochromatic look. It’s the color of the moment and all over the place in New York City. We can’t escape it and honestly, we don’t even want to! Here’s to hoping it sticks around for the next few summers because it truly is the perfect pastel option.

Secondly, we love all things trends. But what’s better than something that is just trendy? A trend that is here to stay! Butter yellow was spring’s color and now that summer is in full swing, it’s looking like it’s sticking around. Again, this is quite a neutral option for anyone wanting to add a pop of color to their wardrobe. We first saw this with a yellow bag for fashion and feel like a yellow dress screams summer. The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days dress kicked everything off, even though it is a bit more yellow than the butter tone. It really set the stage for the perfect shade to enter. The best butter yellow clothing is more of a subtle yellow, keeping it a step up from a cream. It’s like a cream with more personality!

Finally, we think this tone is perfect for warmer weather. It was big for a spring wardrobe when the winter blues left. And now it is the top trend for summertime. To keep it simple, the sun is yellow and what other color would be perfect for sporting in warmer weather? That typical marigold yellow is a bit more difficult for us to style so we were beyond excited when a softer tone came onto the scene. And one that is more of a pastel? It’s a win in our book! Pair this color with white t-shirts, light-wash denim and fun ballet flats for the ultimate casual look. It also is perfect in a monochromatic way for a warm weather style.
