We love a good deep clean for the house. Spring is nearing and I don’t care what the groundhog says, I need to get organized for this now! Spring cleaning is more of a deep cleaning that goes beyond throwing clothes in a washing machine and using all purpose cleaner on your base boards. It’s taking the time to reorganize everything and find new systems that will work to keep things organized. Beyond that, really doing a clean on your hardwood floors, taking out carpet cleaners, dusting all ceiling fans, getting those tough stains out of furniture from the winter and so much more. Make your spring cleaning checklist and let’s get to work!
Kitchen
Firstly, we like to begin with the kitchen because it feels the easiest to tackle. This is the time where we clean the oven, do a massive deep clean of all appliances including the fridge. The fridge clean out is something we all avoid, especially if you have kids. You know how messy and disorganized it can get and there’s never really a good time to do this. There’s just always a lot in the fridge so you need to just pick a day, take everything out and do a massive wipe down with a spray bottle and microfiber cloth. White vinegar is also a great cleaner for everything, including floors. One place people forget to clean is the kitchen sink and garbage disposal. These are my favorite products to put a little elbow grease into my kitchen with!
Closets
Secondly, we have another spring cleaning time task we dread. Clearing out our closets feel like saying goodbye to pieces we loved and wore so often. But here’s the thing, if it doesn’t fit well anymore or you haven’t touched it in over a year, why keep it? Ditch the excuses and find an organizational system that works for you. A great option is those over the door organizers or shelving units that can hang on your racks. This is also the time to take your vest vacuum cleaner and go to town in your closet while everything is out from it. A clean home is a happy home and cleaning tasks can be something you look forward to if you think about the reward it brings. Better days are coming and that starts with your space being in a great place, organized and clean, ready for newness. The best spring cleaning tips begin with organization and keeping your space that way. Make a to-do list and go down it for your spring cleaning routine. Prioritize what you think you need to and go from there!
Home
Finally, there are so many other spaces left to work with that it can feel overwhelming. The bathroom, living room and laundry room are included in this. Spring cleaning efforts can start to dwindle when we get to these spots but they are also some of the most used rooms in your space. Do a massive deep clean of the bathroom, maybe even rearrange your living room for Feng Sui. Did you know you should be cleaning your washing machine? Add it to the list! There are pieces that come out that need to be rinsed and cleansed for a fully functioning and happy machine. These are the best cleaning product options for the remainder of the house! Soap scum has got to go and there is so much dust that we can’t even welcome the spring. But no longer! We are ready to grab the mop bucket and portable carpet cleaner to prepare for the warmer weather and have a clean space.
