The girls and I escaped the freezing temps of New York City last week with a fun trip to Cabo San Lucas. We stayed at the Hilton Los Cabos. This tropical oasis is nestled along a cove-protected beach – something rare to the area – and offers breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounding area. With hacienda-style rooms, stellar service, an amazing location, and all the amenities you could ask for, this is the place to stay in the Baja California Sur area. The girls and I had the most epic weekend and never wanted to leave.
From the moment you step into the Hilton Los Cabos, you’ll be surrounded by beauty and the promise of good things to come. The elegance of the hotel is apparent, as is the hospitality of the staff from the moment you meet them. It’s a hotel designed to welcome and comfort all new arrivals and makes the perfect hub for any trip to the area. It’s the kind of place that immediately fills you with a sense that you’re going to have the best trip ever, whether you’re on a romantic getaway, family vacation or girls trip.
Rooms
All of the rooms and suites at the hotel are beautifully appointed with wonderful decor and amenities and offer a spacious open feel that welcomes you in from the moment you open the door. These oceanfront suites offer panoramic views of the ocean and its beautiful beaches, along with premium rooms on the highest floors of the hotel for unmatched views even when you aren’t on the water. I could have seriously sat on our balcony the entire time, there were so many whale and dolphin sitings, I’ve never seen that many before in my life! It was such a beautiful site to see.
Pools
The Hilton Los Cabos also offers four unique pools to enjoy, from the adults-only Serenity Pool to the family-friendly Dolphin Pool. The Serenity Pool is an infinity pool designed specifically for a relaxing grownup experience, complete with a jacuzzi and food and beverage service. The Jewel Pool is at the center of the hotel grounds and features a swim-up bar offering American-Mexican snacks, craft cocktails, and kid-friendly refreshments. At the Sunrise Pool, guests can enjoy gorgeous views while relaxing in or by the water. For family-friendly fun, the Dolphin Pool features a waterslide, splash zone, and a swim-up Mio Sushi and Raw Bar for the adults.
Beachfront
Of course, we can’t forget about the beach when we talk about an oceanside retreat. This is where we spent most of our days lounging. The Hilton Los Cabos is set against an absolutely gorgeous white sand beach with pristine ocean waters, offering plenty of opportunities for sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, and more. I loved that they there was a swimmable ocean, as places in Cabo do not offer this from my past experience.
Dining
In addition to amazing rooms, pools, and views, the hotel also offers a variety of delicious dining options for the entire family.
At Vela, you’ll enjoy Italian cuisine reimagined with Mexican ingredients with an upscale atmosphere featuring seating indoors and by the pool. Lena is a poolside eatery offering views of Tequila Cove on one side, a swim-up bar on the other, and a wide variety of dishes, all served al fresco. Enclave features a tapas-style menu along with a laidback atmosphere with a waterfront lounge and lounge seating on the beach. At Talavera, guests can watch their meals – inspired by all seven regions of Mexico – prepared from scratch in its open kitchen. Sotol offers margaritas, spirits, and snacks. Coffee lovers will enjoy Los Arco Roasting Co., offering Mexican roasted coffee, sandwiches and paninis, and sweets. Dulce offers a similar experience, with a variety of coffees, gelatos, and more. Finally, La Biblioteca offers an exclusive 5-star dining experience for the ultimate foodie or couples dinner.
Spa
Finally, no getaway would be complete without an exceptional spa experience. At Eforea Spa, guests will enjoy a variety of relaxing treatments from around the globe to create a uniquely restorative experience. The spa features a variety of massages, facials, and body therapies, along with hydromassage tubs and shower, a steam room, whirlpool, and herbal teas or infused waters in the waiting area. I was able to enjoy a 50 minute signature massage and it was exactly what I needed to unwind!
Overall, the Hilton Los Cabos offers the best in comfort, style, and relaxation for individuals, couples, or families. It’s the perfect spot for any trip to the area, with all the amenities and dining you expect from Hilton.
