This time of year, you’ll see lots of posts about getting away for the holidays, from traveling solo to trips for the extended family. These are wonderful ideas, but there’s a huge question that most of these posts, advertisements, and other outlets never mention – paying for it. We all know travel can be expensive, and while everyone budgets a little differently, there is one way to save that works in many of the country’s most famous cities. I recently discovered Go City, and it is the best way to go exploring this holiday season.
Go City is a multi-attraction pass that allows you to explore the city at a major discount. With this program, you’ll see all the major sights of your chosen city in both the USA and in cities abroad. Go City offers discount programs for major US cities like Chicago, LA, Vegas, Boston, Orlando, Oahu, and more, including my personal favorite, NYC. Internationally, you’ll have access to major city sights at a discount in cities like Dubai, Rome, Paris, Singapore, and more. It’s an international savings program that allows you and your travel companions to see and do more for less money. Along with saving money, the passes are available conveniently on the Go City smartphone app, so you don’t have to keep up with tickets or worry about losing your printed passes.
As a forever NYC girl, I, of course, want to showcase all the wonderful attractions that Go City offers as part of its New York City package. As with all of their packages, you can either opt for an Explorer Pass, which offers from 3 to 10 attraction passes, depending on your needs, or you can choose the Build Your Own option, which allows you to choose exactly which attractions you want to see. Both of these make great options. The Explorer Pass is perfect for allowing Go City to be your virtual tour guide, and the Build Your Own option is great if you have specific destinations in mind.
Here are just some of the great spots you can see with Go City in my beautiful city:
Empire State Building – You’ll get a 360-degree view of the city on the 86th floor.
Top of the Rock Observatory – Get a 360-degree view of NYC from Rockefeller Plaza’s 30 Rock building.
Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Ferry – Enjoy a ride on the Ellis Island Ferry and a Statue of Liberty Tour.
9/11 Memorial and Museum – Honor the memory of those who died on 9/11 at this memorial.
MoMA – Explore the modern art on display at MoMA, the most influential modern art museum in the world.
Hop-On Hop-Off Bus – Experience the iconic NYC bus. Featuring 18 Downtown stops and 14 Uptown stops, this bus makes for a great tour experience.
Metropolitan Museum of Art – Explore one of the most expansive art collections in the world. The Met’s amazing collection features over two million pieces from a wide variety of styles, cultures, and mediums.
It’s really the perfect way to see all the best of what a city has to offer. Whether you chose one of the many USA cities or a city overseas, Go City allows you to see and do the best of the best in that city at a great rate. Visit the Go City website and learn more about this amazing card.
