Girl’s Trip To Mayakoba

This past June, my bestie Jeannine and I escaped to Rosewood Mayakoba in Mexico for four nights. It was just what us busy moms needed after the marathon of events our kids had at the end of their school year. From the moment we arrived, everything slowed down in the best way. The property is tucked into lush mangroves and winding lagoons, creating a sense of privacy and calm that immediately sets the tone for a restorative escape. It was the kind of place that invites you to exhale, unpack slowly, and fully settle into the moment.

Our Room

Our days naturally fell into an easy rhythm. Mornings started with coffee on our terrace, watching boats glide by as the jungle woke up around us. We’d spend hours by the pool or beach, moving only when lunch called or the sun dipped just enough to make a long walk feel tempting. Rosewood Mayakoba has a way of making you feel both completely pampered and totally at home, which made it perfect for our getaway.

One of the highlights was how intentional everything felt—from the service to the design. Every space is thoughtful, elegant, and deeply connected to its surroundings. We loved hopping on bikes to explore the property, discovering hidden corners, and lingering over long dinners. It wasn’t about rushing to see everything; it was about savoring exactly where we were, exactly what us mamas needed.

The Spa

The spa experience deserves its own moment. Nestled along the lagoons, Sense, A Rosewood Spa felt like a sanctuary within a sanctuary. We indulged in treatments inspired by ancient Mayan traditions, complete with calming rituals, warm stone therapy, and serene outdoor spaces that made time disappear. It was deeply grounding and incredibly relaxing and the kind of spa experience that leaves you feeling reset from the inside out.

Four nights gave us space for deep conversations, laughter-filled moments, and the kind of memories that only happen when you’re fully present. There’s something about traveling with your best friend that makes even the quiet moments feel special.

Leaving Rosewood Mayakoba was bittersweet. We felt rested, inspired, and already dreaming about when we could return.
