Flourishing Travel

If you’ve been following my Instagram account, you know that our family was down in Disney World, for the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. The trip started with a couple of days at the many theme parks, capped off with a four day cruise on the Disney Wonder.  It was our first Disney Cruise experience, but I can say with great certainty that it will not be our last.

We were non stop at some points, getting up super early, rushing from one activity or park to the next. This rushing around left us sleeping a little less, and eating on the run. With all of our travel, it is important that we remain healthy along the way. I was grateful we were able to walk the parks for two full days, which checked the box for exercise, because there was no gym time in the mornings for Jason and I.

Looking for restaurants with healthy options is always at the top of my list, and when we are running around, I make sure to pack their backpacks are full of healthy options. Some restaurants offer kids menus overloaded with fried foods. While I don’t mind this on occasion, I want them to continue their good eating habits.

GoGo squeeZ Yogurtz have been my go-to snack for quite sometime now. All three of my children love yogurt and fruit, and these little pouches offer a good source of calcium and vitamin D, along with 4 grams of protein. Made with no preservatives or artificial flavors, these squeezables are made with real fruit and low fat yogurt. Normally, when you hear yogurt and travel, you may think about refrigeration, but with GoGo squeeZ Yogurtz, there is no fridge needed, making them ideal for long trips, or just a school snack. And they come in three yummy flavors that are all delicious: Strawberry, Berry, and Banana!

Our “squeezies” came in especially handy when docked at Disney’s private island Castaway Cay. I’ve been to plenty of Caribbean resorts before, but Castaway Cay was pretty unique. There were no waves, a ton of water sports, and even a super cool water slide in the middle of the ocean. We spent the day playing volleyball, paddleball, making sandcastles, and swimming. By far, this was definitely one of our most favorite parts of the trip!

Of course the kids had more than their fair share of ice cream, but I made sure they didn’t over do it. Moderation and balancing is key, and GoGo squeeZ Yogurtz played a big part in that during our trip.

Like all good things, our trip had to come to an end. We are back home, and getting back into the swing of things. Don’t worry. More to come on the rest of our Disney getaway!
