Taking The City Out Of The City

Last weekend we slipped out of the city, and headed out east on the most perfect fall day. The leaves along the roads blinded us with blasts of red, orange, and rust; and the weather had just the right amount of chill in the air. Even if its just for the day, our family loves road trips, and fortunately the kids aren’t bothered by two hours in the car.

The main purpose for our journey was to visit a few open houses, in the continued search for a second home. Time with realtors only occupied an hour of time, so the remainder of the day was spent in Agawam Park, one our favorite Southampton parks, which we’ve been coming to since the kids were just babies. During every visit, we stop to watch the ducks, and then run and play on the huge lawn. And naturally, there’s playground where we spent the majority of our time!

Gemma is not one for walking long distances yet, especially when most of our day revolves around outside. Because of this, we typically keep a stroller handy in our trunk. When it comes to stroller and car seats Maxi Cosi, with its impeccable rap, has become a brand that I trust. What I enjoy most is their dedication to not only making the product functional and safe, but keeping fashionable form. The playful black & white City Motif Dana Stroller captures your favorite travel destinations, and is accented with sparkling copper-colored embroidery, and a bold, black fabric for a look that gives this model a sharp edge.

The Dana also works as a travel system with the included Maxi-Cosi infant car seat adapters. You can use the Dana in this travel system mode both with and without the stroller seat attached, letting you choose how you want to get around. In both carriage and taxi mode, the extra-large Cosi Canopy helps protect children’s sensitive eyes from bright lights.

The stroller seat comes with a 5-point padded harness and has multi-position recline, so your little one can sit up and enjoy the ride, or lay back and squeeze in a nap. With reversible seat fabrics, you get two different looks in one stroller. The seat is machine washable, and dryer safe, so cleaning up messes are a breeze. And the easy, compact fold makes travel and storage less cumbersome.

The City Motif is also available in the Mico Max 30 and Pria 85 carseats. Siella and Gemma are still traveling in their Pria 85 carseats, and I’ve grown to love this Special Edition City Motif Pria, which also includes a Travel Pack. The pack includes a large, removable canopy for sun shade, and a specially designed soft side storage attachment with dual compartments, a spot for drinks and snacks for the long ride.

The Pria 85 is the only premium convertible car seat that can accommodate little ones from 14-85 pounds, as they grow. Regardless of front or rear facing modes, both benefit from the safer side impact protection provided by Air Protect® technology, which protects kids where they need it most- around their head.

In our family of five, space in the car is always an issue. The Pria 85 is specially designed to fit better in your car, allowing more room for front seat passengers to stretch out. Keeping the Pria 85 clean is simple, with a seat pad that unsnaps and removes easily over the frame. This feature is huge, because there is nothing worse than having to remove an entire seat just to clean it. And naturally, the Pria 85’s seat cover is machine washable and dryer safe!
