Potty Training Tales

This is a sponsored post. Thank you for supporting SITC.

As many of you know, Gemma is the baby in our family. She is more than likely our last child, so I do remind myself not to rush things, savoring every moment, big or small. Little things like the way she says Statue of Liberty, calling it the “Pistachio of Liberty”, or renaming September, Uember when singing the months of the year. I just can’t bring myself to correct her because it is too darn cute. But when it came to potty training, I was ready for her to advance to the next level.

Potty Training Tales

Having potty trained three children now, I learned each one of my children was completely different. For Ryder, I did everything by the book, and compared to most of my friends’ kids that age, he was trained pretty quickly. Siella basically taught herself. I’m not kidding. When Gemma came home from the hospital, Siella was just 21 months old and decided she was going to potty train herself. And she did. Even overnight accidents ended abruptly. Gemma, on the other hand, has been completely different situation.

Gemma’s potty training transition has come in many phases. First came the peeing on the potty. She loved to pee on the potty, but it took a long time for her to get to the idea of #2 on the potty. There were a good three months of accidents while out. Even today, she still has a hard time waking up to use the potty at night.

With three kids over almost a decade, we have used countless diapers over the years, but hands down, we’ve always made our way back to Pampers! Pampers have grown with my children since their first day of life (literally!), so it was natural to progress to Pampers Easy Ups as the potty training time had come with each kid. I trust Pampers will keep her feeling dry all night, which keeps me from changing sheets on a daily basis, as a result of leaky training pants.

Since Gemma is always striving to be like her big sis and bro, she has no problem wearing her Pampers Easy Ups before bed. They look, fit, and feel like real underwear, while still providing outstanding leakage protection. Pampers Easy Ups have a 360° stretchy waistband making it easy for little ones to pull up and down. Only Pampers have exclusive Extra Absorb Channels™ provide outstanding protection against leaks during the day AND night. The Dual Leak-Guard Barriers™ around the legs prevent leaks that can happen when they are on the move. And, the Hello Kitty design for girls make it even more fun!

I know it’s only a matter of time before overnight accidents are a thing of the past for Gemma, and then all three of my babies will be completely diaper free. Until then, I will cherish these moments, as they will soon be a distant memory. And a big Congratulations to Pampers Easy Ups for winning the 2017 Best New Product Award (BNPA)!

  1. I’m getting closer to potty training my youngest and dreading it! Haha, but these easy ups are a total must!

  2. It’s definitely different for each child. Some are just ready to give up the nappies as early as they can and then there are those who would like to keep it on as long as they can. I think this is an awesome product for those who are currently potty training!

  3. I think this is great, it’s nice to see that there’s a quick solution for those little accidents when you’re potty training and I’m sure the kids will feel confident wearing at as well. I remember how embarrassed my kids would feel when they accidentally pee while sleeping when they were training.

  4. Potty Training days were difficult but as I look back they did go by quickly. Pampers really has some great products to help ease the pain of potty training and help encourage kids to be independent, thanks for sharing your potty training story!

  5. I am having a bit of a struggle trying to potty train my son. He still has a lot of accidents and mostly at nighttime. I need to try these Easy Up’s to help us in the process!

  6. I wish this kind of diaper was available when my kids were still little. That would have been more convenient for us. Anyway, my kids were not difficult to potty train. I will recommend Pampers Pull ups to my friends who are potty training their young children.

My grandson uses Pampers pull ups. It is more convenient and the absorbency is tops! He is only 18 months old, but we are starting on the potty training thing. Hopefully we get through with it easily.
