Photo Op by Minted! This is a sponsored post. Thank you for supporting SITC!

Each year, before we get a Christmas tree, or start thinking of ideas for presents, I ponder long and hard about our holiday cards. I like sending them, but love receiving them even more. It’s the one time of year to catch up with friends and family, near and far, with that special picture, depicting just how much all the children have grown!

For the past five years, I’ve opted for classic New York City backdrops on our cards. We’ve shot in a train station, the South Street Seaport, the Freedom Tower, on a trunk of the NYC yellow cab, and Central Park. This year was a toss up between the High Line, and Washington Market Park.

Every year I turn to Minted for my cards. I just love all of their designs, and high quality printing. The letterpress and foil-pressed cards are my most favorite to send each year. I was super excited to hear that this season, Minted is offering an awesome option for those parents, who stress to get that one picture with each kiddies actually looking at the camera. Minted’s Photo Op is a convenient 30-minute mini photography session, and holiday card styling, helmed by a professional photographer starting at $100. Currently, the service is available in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles / Orange County, and the New York Tri-State Area.

The program was created for those looking to upgrade from a smartphone photo for their holiday card. In addition to the photo session you will receive 10 retouched photos and card styling, all within 2-3 days of the shoot. Take a look at our session.

Since they are available seven days a week, it was super easy to book one of Minted’s independent portrait photographers will come meet us at the park. The process was quick and seamless!
