Our Winter Skins

This is a sponsored post Vaseline® Intensive Care™ Essential Healing Lotion.

Living in NYC, we walk to school, we walk to the store, we walk to play dates, we walk to the train, we walk everywhere. With all that time outside, there is no escaping the cold during the winter.  Most of the time, we can handle it because the kids have become accustomed to the frigid temps, but when it dips into the teens or below, it can be unbearable. We have no choice but to embrace it, and sometimes we are graced with a snowfall, and its beauty makes all cold worth it.

Before leaving the house in the winter, I line up the kids’ hats, scarves, gloves, jackets, snow pants and all the layer to go with. Getting them to wear hats and gloves can be a battle, and they usually come out of school with them stuffed in their backpacks. All this time outside on normal days tends to leave their skin super dry and scaly. Now add a couple of days on the slopes, and a couple of the girls’ swimming lessons, their young skin really takes a beating.

We will always have cold weather in New York, so I have to plan ahead. Vaseline® brand has been a trusted brand when I need to soothe their skin from the elements. Vaseline® Intensive Care™ Essential Healing Lotion leaves our skin deeply moisturized and looking healthier. I see a difference from the moment I apply it, and the kids are happier when their skin feels smooth, and not scratchy.

All Vaseline® Intensive Care® lotions can be used daily and are available at Walmart and other retailers nationwide. With every purchase of Vaseline® lotion,or jelly in the US, you will help contribute to Direct Relief, through a buy one to help heal one promotion. Learn more HERE, and see the difference The Vaseline® Healing Project is making!

Looking forward to many more snowy days this winter with my littles, including a few trips to the mountains for skiing!
