Moving into October and November, I had been prepared for fall temps and a cool chill in the air, but as you know, we have been experiencing an unusually warm autumn here in NYC. It’s totally odd for this time of year, but I’ll take it, if our winter mimics the frigid blasts of last year. While off from school this past week, the kids and I headed into Soho, to enjoy our favorite playground, before going to a screening of the new Peanuts movie.
It was so nice to be jacket free, enjoying the extra dose of beautiful weather. The girls had on their new Margherita dresses and vests, which couldn’t have been more perfect for our outing. Margherita, which is a new addition to their wardrobe, is available for baby boys, and girls up to the age of 10. The collection is contemporary and whimsical, mixing colors, textures, and prints. Designer, Margherita Missoni, has family roots connected to the iconic Missoni label, and she puts her own spin on what she has learned through years of watching her Mother and Grandmother in the fashion industry.
Gemma is wearing a Classic Navy Dress, with a happy print featuring Margherita’s smiling daisy logo. The easy a-line silhouette has an origami-inspired box pleat neckline, and I crafted a true fall ensemble, pairing it with this Ivory Faux Fur Vest.
Siella is wearing a Sweet Daisy Petal Collar Dress, featuring a limited edition print from London’s Liberty Art Fabrics, with contrast edging and a pompom belt. I added the Pink Faux Fur Vest for her as well, which has the cutest circus print lining.
The collection boasts an emphasis on comfort and expression, while still nourishing individuality and creativity in little girls, and just perfect for mine.
