Kids Style File: Kids On The Moon

Just in time for back to school, I discovered a super cool brand that will keep my children dreaming about our endless summer beach days come fall and winter, when we are freezing in NYC. Inspired by the depths of the ocean, Kids on the Moon is a true deep-dive. The brand is inspired by the moonlight and  shades of stormy waters that are livened up with washed-out stripes, seaweed-inspired checks, pearly skirts and bright corals.

All the styles allow you to mix and match and really have fun putting outfits together. It can be dressed up and elegant, but it takes a second to dress it down and have the laid-back effortless grungy look.

The spirit of the collection is for both boys and girls starting at size 2. With a mix of oversized tops, layers, washed out and faded colors, checks, patterns and structures.

Siella and Gemma are wearing the girl’s tutus, that are super delicate, but can also be paired with a long hoodie and combat boots. All of the silhouettes are loose and nonchalant, whereas ombre and faded shades add an edge to overall dreamy collection. I’m looking forward to combining these tutu’s with chunky sweaters and tights in the fall.

My girls’ favorite part of the collection is Kid on the Moon’s signature moon jelly design. This delicate hand drawn illustration made by the talented artist Hyshil Sander. Kids On The Moon is majestic and mysterious, like the every changing ocean, just like children and the perfect combination for their back to school escapes!
