Holiday Cards 2014 {& $250 Minted Giveaway}

This is a sponsored post. Thank you for supporting SITC.

Halloween has officially come to a close, and we are now sailing into the holiday season. As a mom now, the holidays bring just so much joy, I love watching my children get excited about our family traditions. Each year it grows more and more magical in our home, and it is probably my most favorite time of year. One tradition I take such pride in is sending out our Christmas cards. It has seriously become my most favorite tradition, and receiving cards from others is the best part of all. With friends and family scattered across the country, it has become the one time of year where I can see all of our loved ones family photos. It’s incredibly special to see how much each child has grown throughout the year. We hang all of the cards on a large mirror in the living room, and the kids can’t wait to see who’s card arrives next, in the weeks leading up to the holidays. And as the years have gone on, our list continues to grow, and I love it every minute sending out our 200+ cards.

Last year, we waited unit late November to take photos for our holiday card, and it was pretty tough to shoot the kids with the super cold temperatures. Having learned my lesson, I wanted to get a jump-start on creating our cards this year. I was already set on keeping NYC as the backdrop and decided the finally finished Freedom Tower would be perfect. With that I mind, I decked in the kids out in what they will probably be wearing for Christmas and set out in our neighborhood trying to capture that perfect picture. I am not going to lie – it’s quite a challenge trying to get all three kids to look at the camera at the same time, and only 1 out of the 539 pictures I took, made the cut. I edited the photo just a tad and easily uploaded it to my trusted Minted website for the perfect card.

Minted has a global community of independent designers, which contributes to all of their unique and modern holiday photo cards, and with so many holiday themed designs to choose from, it was difficult to pick just one. Having used Minted for Siella’s birthday invites and decor this year, I really trust their quality, and I know these will be just as special. Their theme “Happiest Holidays,” stood out to me, and I really appreciated that I had the opportunity to customize the saying, colors, and card style. I was also able to add a custom backer to include even more photos of the kids throughout the year. We even had the option to add extra bells and whistles to the card, like glitter envelope liners, and free recipient address printing, which is a big deal when having to handwrite 200 addresses.

TADA!!! The final product…..what do you think? To get you into the holiday spirit, I am giving away a Minted $250 gift card to one lucky SITC reader! Details below, Good Luck!

  1. I love the “a merry little christmas holiday photo cards”. We are expecting our little boy anytime now and I’m so excited to send these holiday cards to our friends and family.

  2. The Merry Typography card by Alethea and Ruth is perfect! The foil marries perfectly with the font and saying, couldn’t have made a better card!

  3. The complete tree one is cute.

    I am also a huge holiday card fan. It’s one of my “thing” to make an awesome card for the holidays.

  4. i love the complete tree card, however my kids looked at Minted with me and they love the Comic Book style card. We need to take a family vote when Dad comes home, I think I’ll be out voted.

  5. I like the “Just Be” by Lauren Chism design! I am always looking for a holiday neutral card, and this one is darling!

  6. They are all so beautiful. Would be hard to just pick one. Also, depends on the final pose of the little ones… LOL
